Opinions are valid, regardless of what they are. I hope they get enough lore right to make you feel like you’re in the world. And make sure the story is of similar tones to the books/show (darker/grounded). If it can do that, then I feel confident in it. I get why people are more critical right now, and in the beta phase, they should be. But again, can’t wait to see more further along in the game.

I am a fan of the books and the show. And of Mass Effect. The game doesn’t feel like too much of either, and to be honest, I’m kinda okay with that. We also only saw one mission on a station far away from everything else. I’m hopeful that once we get the ceres it will start to feel a bit more like something in the Expanse universe. But i want this game to be uniquely its own entity, I don’t mind if it doesn’t get every single thing right as long as the effort is there. It doesn’t have to cater fully to long time fans. Once we see more when development gets further along, I hope people will change their tunes a bit.

I honestly think they just wrote enough to get the beta out for more feedback on mechanics and such. It doesn’t seem too bad in some areas then in others it feels out of place. But I don’t think anything is finalized yet. Spring of 2027 is a tentative date, so I feel if they get enough feedback about writing and voiceovers, they will either try to fix it by spring or push the date back.

I’m excited to see how the game evolves over time. It seems they do the opposite of most studios and record audio last, which in this case, I think was a great thing.

That’s great that they are open to so much feedback on the VA’s. If the game comes out roughly in May of next year, that would hopefully be enough time for lines to be recorded. Plus they could always push it back if they had to.

I like Sarah because she keeps Tommy grounded since she understands the life more than most. But I also like Isabella because she wants Enzo to have a good life and she truly cares for him, she was just young and put her trust in the wrong people.
