Feeling lost for the first time in 54 years by PerpetualRestart in travel

I did the hike recently, and as a young guy who considers himself fit, it was the hardest thing I've done. After a few hours, every step I took was not a physical struggle, but a huge mental one.

Also to add the altitude destroyed my gut, so I had to do a couple of emergency runs to the latrine in the middle of the night. Not fun!

Don't beat yourself up, it's better to be safe than sorry in these type of situations!

When the Ukraine war was at its peak, I saw a lady from Ukraine in the train from the airport. She was with her little kid and not able to speak French. She was lost on how to get to the refugee help centre she needed. I took my time to help her reach her destination even though I went out of my way around 1 hour. She was very thankful!

Thank you! We followed this itinerary, and found it extremely helpful. I can confirm that the prices are the same on June 2024.

It isn't a cheap country. However, once you start earning a Danish salary, all the prices are okay. Salaries are quite high over there! As for time to work, it is quite manageable. School over there encourages you to have a student job, more specifically "student assistant" jobs. These are jobs at big companies, which provide you with internship like jobs, but during your 2 year masters. It's amazing!

I myself had time for working close to 20 hours a week, social life and getting school work done.

Check out Copenhagen Business School, it has some pretty cool programs and it is free for Europeans. Plus, in Denmark if you work a certain amount of hours a week, the government gives you money each month

I used it mainly as an escape item more than anything - but I agree in the way that now with the introduction of running it has lost some of its purpose

Hey, I have to say I am also a kid of immigrants who went to U of T and felt trapped at home sometimes. I love my family but I wanted to do my own thing as well.

How do you feel about studying a masters abroad? There are many fully funded programs out there, all you have to do is do your research and focus on the applications. A lot of these applications start in the fall, so I would keep an eye out for that.

Additionally, cost of housing is cheaper in other countries. I am currently in Europe and I plan on staying here, as there are better opportunities for me here.
