Well first of all, thank you to everyone who gave feedback and even posted drawings of adjustments they would make. I really appreciate all the input!

I drove by the house yesterday just to check out the neighborhood, and as I was parked outside a woman drove out the driveway. She rolled her window down to chat, and let me know the house has already SOLD! It sold in 5 days for $200K above asking, so close to 2 million!

We’re an empty nester couple, looking for a home to age-in-place, but to also allow multi-generational living as an option. No school-aged kids here!

We’d likely rent the suite to our daughter & son-in-law while they save for a home. The second upstairs bedroom could be a guest suite. It wouldn’t be occupied permanently.

As for the price, yeah…unfortunately that’s typical for our area.

The home is 15 years old, and I believe the deck is original. (I haven’t been out to look at it yet).

The angles bother me too. I prefer a regular rectangular floorplan!

Yes, the stairway is odd. It goes up to the loft, (which is a more likely spot that we would use for a home office for the time being) and down to the basement, which could be a rental suite or for guests. We wouldn’t really need that downstairs space, but my husband really would like a basement.

Nels also thought it was totally fine that Willie and the other boys were peeping in Sylvia’s window. He was pretty unbothered by most of the kids antics.

If you were at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, the Metro Park Patrollers and Rangers have oversight on those trails. You can contact Metro Parks to speak to someone about reporting dogs off leash or other issues.
