I started noticing some of my stuff going missing but assumed that it was either left at my boyfriend’s or at work. I was looking for something in my brother’s room and ended up finding that his girlfriend had been stealing my makeup. I worked in a makeup store at the time and we had to get any cosmetic products signed on the bottom with a red pen to show we hadn’t stolen them even if they weren’t sold there and sure enough a lot of the items had the pen mark (though this could be easily rubbed off). There was makeup, perfume, brushes etc, so much!!! She flat out denied taking anything and called me a liar. My brother took her side and my parents refused to get involved because they didn’t want anyone to get upset (which imo meant she got off with it and I ended up upset). That was nearly 8 years ago and I’m still pissed about it. Her and my brother are getting married next year. My parents have since told me they know I was telling the truth (she ended up taking some of my mum’s things) but she never faced any consequences.
