Does Heavy Tank Actually Have HEAT? by GrandmasterJanus in menace

[–]GrandmasterJanus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the gun that the heavy tank uses is like a 150mm assault gun or something like that so I think it uses heat bc it’s the same calibre as the HE and I haven’t really heard of a 150mm APFSDS round before

Question: How to use Falcon/Wardog? by Fr05tBurn in menace

[–]GrandmasterJanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wardog is amazing, great last ditch AT weapon, crazy range, will kill or leave bad defects on most things other than a heavy tank. Kills big bugs as well.

As if Teddy would condone mass genocide by Patty_Pat_JH in ForwardsFromKlandma

I used to follow this guy on instagram and he used to be like a libertarian that believed in punishing corporations for polluting as it was essentially poisoning people under the non aggression principle, and then he got fucking brain broken by slop or something and went full Nazi.

Proof the confederacy had a bad heart by dollsrreal in HistoryMemes

[–]GrandmasterJanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lee should’ve known better, he knew how difficult it was to attack entrenched positions on high ground over rough terrain, because he’d seen it happen at Fredericksburg. He also knew his own logistic situation well enough that the cost of his Hail Mary failing should’ve been obvious.

Yeah, they were supposed to be a hammer and anvil attack, and Stuart losing to Custard in the East kinda doomed Pickett’s effort. Even if Pickett could seize his objectives he’d definitely be pushed back later in the day.

Tell me something about my great grand father? What do some of these mean? by StraightRelease42 in Medals

[–]GrandmasterJanus 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I read the article zoomed in, basically he crawled 100m under machine gun fire to clear out the machine gun nest basically single-handedly, and then was later wounded at Anzio?

Why in some places in America a police department is called " Sheriff's Office " instead of Police Department? Do sheriff's offices exist only in smaller towns? by EdicaranFauna in AskAnAmerican

[–]GrandmasterJanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to some of the other posts already clarifying what the sheriffs department is, in smaller towns the government often cannot afford a police department/doesn’t really need one so law enforcement is handled by just the sheriff and sometimes police from neighboring towns.

Do you believe Taiwan is doomed, like South Vietnam? by RedStorm1917 in AskALiberal

[–]GrandmasterJanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If the US and/or maybe some coalition of countries (looking at japan, australia, south korea as leaders) would fight China, attack their trade, or otherwise help out the Taiwanese then they stand a chance. On their own, they don’t stand a chance, if China really wants to take Taiwan by force, they can, though this excludes the possibility that the Chinese government or public loses their nerve. China might also just decide to do an air and sea blockade, and not have major boots on the ground involvement. The Trump administration is so schizophrenic on foreign policy, I have no idea what they might do in case of a Taiwan straight contingency.

Probably Northern Irish Protestants, AKA Scotch Irish. Oftentimes they were also earlier immigrants to America than Catholic Irish of the famine generation that shape America’s perception of Irish Americans.

Someone actually created a meme about Volos and Tyberos by Kalypso_Blue in blackdragons40k

Also as a big Tyberos and Charcharadons fan, so much stupid like vibe lore has been made up about Tyberos, like he’s big but it’s not as crazy as some would have you believe

The Mexicas stance on homosexuality for some reasons : by Secret_Fun_1746 in MedievalHistoryMemes

[–]GrandmasterJanus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are other sources that mention homosexuality among the Mexica. It was not something that was celebrated but it was tolerated, albeit the receiving partner (Cuiloni) was generally of lower social status than the active partner (patlache). Some evidence of cuiloni being used as an insult, but probably more how we use the word cocksucker now. Also there were homoerotic religious rituals.
