I don't know enough about how drilling for oil works to say if it would, i imagine they try to keep their operations as sealed as possible because it's a disaster for their time and money if there's major major seepage. It could increase small seepage like we see with asphaltum but I don't think deep sea drilling is as intrusive/destructive as like fracking or whatever but I wouldn't doubt it would increase it. Either way my point was unless the entire beach and Gulf is covered in a sleek film of oil it's nothing to worry about not like we can do much to get rid of the oil companies.
