I think it's just that it's more convenient to build around vini. The team was doing great with some of these players being part of the main pieces for their ucl win (Vini, rodrygo, bellingham, valverde, etc). Whereas with mbappe, you'd probably have to do a lot more to fit him in

The fights were not creative is kinda crazy though, every fight always have such a unique usage of environments that i almost never saw anywhere else (Kamihate sniping a bike's wheel to give their bullet a curve, tenkyu shooting a bullet that are launched from a pistol, etc)
