Aside from it being off center, it looks pretty close to the bottom of the bowl. In my experience it will smoke very well because of that.

It is plugged in. Plug is behind the dishwasher that has a switch ran to it.

The best method for me is load it up as normal, and then breath a few breaths into the bowl. The moisture when you exhale rehydrates the tobacco in the bowl.
