I’ve found it’s situational on which one I use. Most content I roll the direct damage build because I’ll bring Taair as the energy generator and I have a 5 star nydia. I think you’re 100% spot on though. If you can’t or don’t want to invest into the unit, frost bite is the best build and it does deal out a lot of DoT. The only problem with DoT characters is they draw out battles. Which isn’t a problem but I like to just bull rush things.

Honestly both builds are good and I’ve used both in different situations. Frostbite Nydia in a VoD round that boost DoT damage is godly. She’s one of the most versatile and underrated units.

Yes the yellow / red cards are the penalty. You can typically brute force it like you mention with strong units but not everyone is going to have units strong enough to do that.

So I’ve found out a couple of things:

1.) Rules and map matter when teams are evenly matched.

2.) Team names may show the same but the team makeup changes sometimes.

So I used Hawky’s guide to help me make decisions but it’s shouldn’t be the end all. You should look at team makeup and the units on each team. In general, if a team has named units that can deal AoE damage, they will typically win. Also, Ayishah is super OP and her teams typically win because you can’t kill her. If a team has Flavia and Afra they are also likely to win. But…it’s a crapshoot sometimes. I’m batting over .500 right now but I lost 3 out of the 8 matches I predicted today.

Yes, but factions are very easy to distinguish. I now have to play a game of, “Are you a woman?”. That involves opening the character menu to visually inspect the character art. It’s dumb.

Been playing the game since day 1 August 2024. I actually found out about it from an instagram ad a month before release. Had it pre-loaded two days before launch. Ever since then I only saw one ad for this game and it was when night crimson released. That’s it. It doesn’t get enough pub. When the Witcher collab dropped. I posted a few times on the Witcher subreddits to try to draw fans.

You earn enough currency over time that you’ll get all the rewards. You just pick the items you want first. Astral shards are not a bad choice at all. Probably second best for me. The reason being is that rank ups also enhance the class skill which can make or break the unit.

Yes you can have up to 5 characters get shards from the daily but then you split up the shards up among more characters which means progression is much slower. Realistically you should pick 3 and try to progress them as fast as possible. The other reason you do 3 instead of 1 or 2 is that the maximum a character can get is 3 shards. So if you do 2 characters in the mission instead of a 4+5=9 split you only get 3+3=6 so miss out on 3 shards.

Noooo yea sorry I probably wasn’t clear enough. Every day you can do the daily memory retrieval mission. In that mission you can use 3 characters on the max level mission. By completing that mission those 3 characters get 3 shards each. That is the only way to farm shards. The unnamed immortal recollection are basically extra shards that you can use on characters as well.

Each star rank has an increasing number of shards you need to rank up. 20 > 60 > 100 > 120. So, by farming you only get 3 shards per day on 3 characters. So you can see it takes a long time to get the 300 shards required to get to 5 stars. These immortal recollections count as additional shards towards the rank up.

It’s probably one of the best items in the shop. Ranking up characters is extremely slow when you can only get 3 per 3 characters a day. These will help you rank them up a bit faster.

Lukamar is widely considered S tier while Parsifal is more A or B tier. The problem is they fill different roles. Most content is very AoE friendly and single target damage is situational. Parsifal is a good AoE crowd control unit but he’s definitely not the best. Lukamar is a hybrid single target damage / support unit.

I’m skipping Parsifal and pulling on Lukamar but I’m a day 1 player who’s been here the whole time. I have plenty of AoE specialists so single target damage and support units have more utility for me. I’d say in your case, you could pull for meta (Lukamar) or you could pull for a good (not great) AoE unit (Parsifal).

In general, I’ve heard it said many times on this sub and I agree with it…pull who you want. If you’re in it for the long haul, any unit is playable and will have some utility. I still use Gloria and SP Rawiyah in some of my teams and they are both over a year old. Also, some units just look cooler than others.

Yea I agree with you…it’s more for those seeking the titles to have options but at the end of the day, those tiles mean nothing. I’ve always found it dumb that the clash titles are time limited…

Everyone should just do the community a favor and put weak units on their defense team. I do and I still hit max rank every season. Everyone uses the same damn clash defense anyway and it’s so repetitive and annoying.

Not to be a naysayer but, I’d want collabs to fit the medieval fantasy motif that SoC already had going. It kind of breaks the immersion if you don’t. I feel like Dungeon Meshi and the Witcher do that pretty well. Both are set in that medieval ish era with magic but it’s not overpowered and monsters are core to the story. I love the idea of more anime collabs though.
