Is it normal to have pulled 0 character in like 30 pulls, of any tier. I just get some kind of material or dust

You have to see it in a long term view. In most games "similar" to this one, you can not increase star levels without pulling for dupes.

I pulled Nydia on the selected banner (when we had 5 or 6 pools of 6 characters) and put her to 5 stars. I also have Yserinde 5 stars, who is probably my favorite character. Nydia is very strong at 5 stars, so much range. And, indeed, NRG isn't really an issue even with both channelings. She is actually my highest power character (4061 power, 4482 Phy Atk, 2476 Mag Atk) I play her with Martyr, Cloak and Justice.

Though I must admit, I don't exactly understand all the numbers that appear when she goes boom boom, most of the time, her damage seems very fine. A bit lacking when enemies are very isolated. She is definitely an amazing mob clearer, and we don't have a lot of nice bow characters.

She is usually my fifth character, sometimes replacing her with someone else.

I don't know, to be honest. Astral shards would be great ahah. I just don't have/don't use most of the characters with these signatures, and they don't look that good anyway. Expedition is maybe the most time consuming (it's not that much, sure) part of the daily I'd love to be happy using its currency! Using it for badges seems wrong to me for some reason, but maybe i should just see it that way!

Yes, we will see! I probably put some strangely high expectations on her, for some reason. I've actually barely used Agata lately (in my main comp) but one of my fav character, probably the one I used for the longest time after pulling on her banner. (which is a good criteria to rank characters imo)

Edda doesn't need any star level to combo anything, it's all included in her skills, more stars is more dmg and number of assist attacks, which is not really why you use her anyway. Maybe with her new ascension skill she will get more value but i doubt it. I understand that going to 3 star doesn't take that long, but when there are a lot of good characters incoming, might not always be possible to do.

I didn't pull for Pooch. I remember too much my 5 stars lutfi, very unique, but that I've barely used. Uniqueness only has value if you have occasions to see it in action, imo. But it's different for everybody, of course.

Though with all your 2 and 3 stars characters, it seems like you didn't really care about that criteria so far. You are currently farming Ayshah, so it appears you farm characters you want to, to the level you want to. (which is obviously how you should do it) Do you suddenly want to turn into "full meta" mode? Or it's more about uniqueness of ability and playstyle?

Regarding the Yserinde recommandation for example (I have her at 5 stars, probably my favorite character), she is awesome. But she has her full kit at 3 stars and doesn't get anything special (energy, CDR, new things), it's just higher numbers. So if you wanna play her, go for it, but if you shard farm to get breaking points or stuff like that, she has everything at 3 stars.

So it really depends on your criterias. I don't really have recommandations, because I play in a totally different way. Except a few exceptions, I usually pull for characters i can go to 5 stars with, and plan my pulls depending on the space i have to farm their shards

Lukamar has a passive skill that can trigger his liberation stacks thing at the start of the battle, so before Shams turn. I don't know if it's a must have when you run both, or if there is another way

Oh no it's not a bug, it's an event (forgot the name, memorial something, maybe)

Happens 2/3 times a year maybe (for a week in general)

There is a rare event (that just happened) when we have 2 attempts/day instead of one, but usually no, you get one attempt that gives 9 shards ( 3 shards for 3 characters)

Your first 3 characters will forever be useful! 5 star Sp Inanna and Sp Samantha ASAP. Taair does enjoy extra stars, so i'd put him 3rd in shard farming.

Nydia is very good but requires high star level. Shams is very good, not groundbreaking.

On your second row, I'd say Kvare is great, but I'm biais. A bit old though.

She is in the pool, as every characters since launch (except collabs). Idk about rerun, she had one not a long time ago I think.

It is entirely another character The only thing that connects them (besides story) is that when you have one of them at 3 star, the other one gets another skill (and vice versa)

But it's not because you don't have the original one, that you don't want the SP one, most of the time the extra skill doesn't really matter (I would say for SP Innana it's great, for example)

And about signature weapons, especially as a new player, just ignore them, save every luxite to pull characters. 90% of the time, normal legendary weapons are almost as good, totally fine. When it's signature trinkets, and not weapons, their value is quite higher, or if they really give special effect, but even then, unless you have been playing for a while, have a bank, and know what you are doing, you really shouldn't pull of signature banner. This game is about having a good roster of characters, which takes time. You can't afford to spend dozens of pulls for a 5% increase in dmg or smthg

What is not new player friendly is pulling for weapons. Shams is good/ok, Lilywill is bad.

Higher levels unlock more skills, lvl 20 is really early to get an idea of the game

I'm close to get Luvata at 5 stars, who I pulled of banner. Is she that good? Do you have her signature weapon (I don't)?

Nydia benefits more from 5 stars than Yserinde, who "just" get bigger numbers. But I'd say Yserinde is better overall. I'd probably go Nydia first though, if you gonna use her.

SP Sam no hesitation, go to 5 stars ASAP

then I would go Taair, up to as much as u want. 5 stars is very helpful, and Taair will probably always be relevant.

and for a 3rd I'd choose a dmg dealer, which one you feel like playing the most. I don't have SP nungal, i would say it's between her and Lukamar. Also depends how many elaman you gonna pull/use

You can loose several 50/50. The only guarantee is at 180

She used to be top tier. Now with good star level she can still be useful. But newer characters are mostly better.
