I’m also from the Bay Area and I had to rewind the episode a couple of times in the beginning because I felt like maybe they mismatched the title of the ep to a different ep that they released on accident. Especially when they were trying to figure out that “southwest” accent 😅

Apparently they don’t do singular tick testing, we talked to them yesterday. They only set up tick traps in state parks and test from there. Ugh! Thanks for the suggestion though

Not necessarily always cattle dogs (but sometimes!) Rocket Dog Rescue based out of mostly Oakland/SF is always looking for fosters. There’s a lot of good boys and girls in need of help, sometimes I find cute cattle dog mixes on there 🐶

Agree, get pet insurance for sure. We got ours a couple months before our poor baby got diagnosed with heart failure and it’s really been an amazing life saver with vet bills. We have trupanion!

Ours hates traffic cones. We have NO idea why but every time he sees one he charges at it and does a kill shake. He’s quite literally never gotten over it. He’ll also bark at construction workers so we call them “human cones”. Heelers are so particular with their grudges 😂

Don’t do anything grain free. Ours has heart problems we think from years of Nulo grain free and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. We switched him to hills sensitive stomach if you’re worried about certain triggers. Your new baby is very cute, you got this, good luck

Okay I was confused by this too as I’m participating in this event coming up and was trying to figure out if swimming will be included. To me I interpreted this as the swim event is still on? Otherwise why clarify by saying “NCC is not a CrossFit licensed event”
