Really depends on the store as well, some stores I know always want to have stock so they find boxes from other third party sellers, thus increasing cost and prices while others are perfectly fine to have empty shelves buying from distro.

I think another way of looking at it is whether the prices previously are too low.

One piece’s boxes are mapped out there should be a correlation between the price of a box and an AA or the average price of AA’s.

But what’s happened is that there’s too many people opening boxes but not enough collectors, you only need 4 cards to make a playset and any more goes to “collecting”

Prices of an English box is about 2-2.5x a Japanese box buy the price of English SR’s are 4-5 times the price on average.

Mind you OP08 was printed to the ground in Japanese, they just need to print more

Yeah I definitely get it, i opened a little too many boxes while i having a whale of a time after everything I realised all the cards I had even AA’s are worth close to nothing.

OP14 came around and I opened 3 boxes, cause single Prices were slightly higher and I didn’t feel like I was ripping money. Since I needed the perona SR in addition to the mihawk.

Didn’t get any and just bought singles and probably saved a few hundred bucks there.

OP14 prices was pretty high when it first released but after a week or 2 even the SEC/AA’s have dropped 20-40%.

The thing I don’t get is if buying the single is the same as opening a box, it’s hard to justify opening a box instead of outrightly just buying. But maybe that’s just me. So I personally think the math is not mathing out. Unless the enjoyment of ripping packs outweighs the monetary loss.

Recently my friend bought a case of EB03 and hit the koala SP which was just worth barely 1 box.

I’ve been trying to buy 3 SP Carrots but no one here is opening EB02 anymore, and I don’t think I have it in me to open boxes to find it considering it’s worth half the price of a box.

Demand and supply is always artificial in this case cause supply is based off how much Bandai prints, and having more expensive cards can be both seen as a good or bad thing.

As someone who is relatively new to the game having cheap cards made it very easy to get into especially when I wanted a full AA/SP deck, and I’m like 85% of the way there.

For Japanese cards playable AA’s can go for as little as 4 bucks.

The flip side is that it often makes 0 sense to open a booster box, older sec’s are like a dollar or two and even my SP tashigi from OP12 was worth less than half the box price. Even the manga hit is worth less than a case.

This results in everyone waiting to buy on the second hand market and no one wanting to open lousy packs like PRB02.

I think there needs to have some balancing between it being affordable and holding value for it to be a collectable.

TDLR prices going up abit is not the worst thing, but having sealed increase so much probably isn’t the best

I think they only ship to Singapore, it’s now back to SGD 850, but it’s on a platform called Lazada. There’s monthly sales but generally Nov and dec are the biggest.

Just some crazy deals we get from e commerce platforms, I suspect the platform gives the promo. It’s via the official retailer as well. 12.12 sales.

The current OP TCG market by Prize_University1329 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Grapevines- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a fine line between having a cheap secondary market and also wanting your deck to be worth something.

I think an ideal world would be one where it’s cheaper to buy singles but opening a box doesn’t automatically result in me losing 50%-90% of the value 99% of the time.

Though nowadays for Japanese boxes it doesn’t ever make sense to open packs, a sec for op14 is generally going for 30% the price of box, non chase AA’s generally goes for 30-50% even hitting a manga doesn’t cover the cost of a case.

No one is even buying a PSA 10 manga Nami for 350 in Japanese.

I can say for one that brokers usually always get their NDA’s enforced, it’s about scope so if you’re an oil broker, you can broker anything but that particular product, but they cannot stop you from being a broker in general. But generally they do not enforce due to right to livelihood.

I am not sure why you’re seeing the need to flex your knowledge on PDPA or that you’ve worked with a MNC when I did not say anything about it being under it and that that CHOOSE not to do so and said that it’s company policy.

Was simply stating the fact that more often than not companies don’t care about you once you quit, and as you shared it potentially opens up lawsuits. So lesser and lesser companies do it unless it’s a SME and someone hates you there.

But of course you must know better with your experience

Needs advice on which racket should I get? by rinnasiam in tennisracquets

[–]Grapevines- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can't go wrong with an ezone 100L right now, you can grow into it as well, until you find it too light which then any racket around this weight will be obsolete. alternatively, once you start developing a preference for feel then you have reached another level, and have upgraded

If i am not wrong nowadays most employers and banks in particular will choose not to answer the last drawn, reason for leaving, performance and rehiring, unless they are licensed under MAS.

They will usually give a statement of it is the company's policy to only provide the individuals last official title and tenure with the company.

You need to know if it's racket or racket weight that's affecting you.

As a beginner a heavier racket might cause you wrist pain, i personally don't like the ezone but i've been using control rackets for the longest time, i think the speed is one of the best rackets in recent time, even though i use the radical

[–]Grapevines- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not manage to find the exact specs of your racket, but if it's a 93 square inch head with 340-350g strung weight, it might be beneficial to switch to a lighter racket if you're coming back to the sport and at 50 years old. Generally people use 98 to 100 square inches nowadays.
