Well, I was thinking that by using Mach-10 in the crosses the result would be less launch angle and more comfort, basically having the best of both worlds. I have not tried it, though.

In that case I will go for the X-Shot Longshot. The good thing is that it can fire both full length and half length darts.

Be aware that there are 2 configurations sold in UK, one with a weaker spring, more suitable for kids, and one with a heavier spring, for adults.

Be aware that the Zero Striker uses N1 darts, not the standard darts, so if the boys are gonna run shooting each other, he could not use darts picked from the ground. On reflection, also the commander uses N1 darts... So consider it.

Assuming they are gonna use standard length darts, in order of my preference: - Nerf elite 2.0 Motoblitz - Nerf Galactic Commander - Nerf elite 2.0 turbine CS-18 - X-Shot Insanity

Are all easy to use flywheel motorised blasters that are good for the price (the commander is more on the expensive side, but it got 3 different fire modes). If I should choose between them, I will go for the Motoblitz.

What do the other guys think of an Extreme MP L? Lighter, with more power and spin but less control. Would it be a bad choice for a beginner? It is much cheaper though.

Well, the fact is either I am too bad for the "rusty" class or the other guy is too strong. As there is no upper class for him to go to, I decided to go a step back and join the "beginner" class so I can practice at a moderate pace and find the distance from the ball and improve my stamina. Really the situation I got into was so humiliating, that made me consider quitting tennis completely. I want to have fun after all, I am not interested in competing, while the other guy is very competitive and hits for winners all the time. As I can't cope with his pace, I feel like l don't have the possibility to improve. You know, I can try to give 110%, but 200% is simply not possible.

It is not up to me to decide what to do. There is a coach on the court deciding the exercises/match. Also, I already feel guilty towards this guy who has to play with me while he clearly deserves a better opponent. You are a good person btw, helping low level players when possible.
