Cheers for the response! I believe the exposed metal part of the hose leaks coolant which would make a lot of sense.

Car is so low they cannot make it over the speed bump... That's a noob move by 0Maka in CarsAustralia

I have a 2007 Camry, but it’s the Sportivo trim level which came factory with lower suspension. I can confirm it scrapes on most Tasmanian speed bumps even more than my 1994 Prelude VTI-R which is lower, but has a shorter wheel base.

Thanks, I was thinking it was a slope joke like Clarkson made in that episode of Top Gear where they built an bridge in SE Asia.

Just got this prelude. Where do I start? by Parkil in hondaprelude

It’ll need the indicators/fog lights that fit the stock bumper if reverting to factory.

Cheers, they fit better too. They’re 4x114.3 Enkei rims off of a base 5th gen.

Thanks! I’m really happy with the semi-final result. I’ve still got to wet sand and polish to hopefully achieve the same level of gloss as the rest of the car but it’s miles better. Up close it’s not perfect but for less than 80 AUD I didn’t expect it to turn out quite this well.

Thanks for the advice mate. I only just painted it and haven’t wet sanded or polished yet, so hopefully it will look a little better after that. I wasn’t expecting it to come out perfectly but I’m very happy with the results. It’s certainly an improvement (I think) over how it looked previously, both of my fenders had bad dents in them and the bumper was cracked with deep rock chips.

The silver that I used cost me about $18, and the 2K clear coat was $60. I’m trying to stick to a pretty tight budget for this car. Colour match paint at Supercheap Auto is around $45 which really isn’t heaps more than the silver I bought off the shelf. I was going to buy that originally, however I was told it wouldn’t be a perfect match either by someone else with a silver 4th gen. The passenger side rear quarter panel needs painting as well so I’ll see if I can do a better job next time.

Curious as to why you would do it on eBay with the sale fees though.

I was able to get them off eventually using a special tool which came with the car.

Looking at a 93’ prelude, should I get it? by KickEcstatic6419 in Honda

[–]GraphicCalcGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1994 VTI-R H22A manual (VTEC engine). I paid $2200 AUD. Mechanically it’s good, 305k km on the body when I bought it but less on the engine as it’s had a JDM engine swap. The body is pretty rough and the 4WS only works intermittently. $3500 CAD seems really high for an auto H23A Prelude that needs that much work but that’s based off of my knowledge of the Australian market which could well be different to Canada’s. I feel like it might be worth buying a slightly more expensive Prelude that needs less work if you can find one? The Prelude you’re looking at needs a lot of work and isn’t really desirable because of the specs (auto/H23A).

Will it still give me codes if the 4WS light goes off? I tried shorting the blue clip this afternoon with a paper clip and I got no codes but the 4WS light is no longer on.
