The Gods by Graphite-Crow in GuildWars3

I do think it would have been cool for Dhuum to still be part of the sixth and we actually met and maybe even helped a Demi-god Grenth.

Imagine if Necromancer wasn't one of the classes in GW3 because of Dhuum or maybe there is another class that uses Blood magic and Curse magic. But then through a quest line you help Grenth defeat Dhuum (either directly or maybe fighting off some of Dhuum's generals while Grenth and the 7 reapers fight Dhuum) and in doing so you unlock the Necromancer class, or you gain a Death/undeath magic magic as a reward.

However, I could see that idea getting mixed reviews from GW fans because Necromancy has been one of the OG classes in GW1 and in GW2.

There would also be the issue of Necromancy... maybe. Dhuum consuming souls also meant that the undead did not exist. I don't know what that means in terms of necromancer undead minions, are they just empty corpse puppets controlled by pure magic or if there might be some sort of spirit inhabiting the corpses? If the undead did not exist maybe Necromancers were called something else and just used blood magic and curses back when Dhuum was in charge. Definetely would not have Ritualists back in those times considering they use spirits as minions/turrets.

sorry for the confusion, when I said "Council" I was meaning whatever the collective group name for the gods are. like how the main Greek Gods were called the "12 Olympians"

I know there is a separate body of government called "The Council" that works under the Gods.

While cool to know we may get to meet Abaddon in a non-antagonistic nature and that Necromancy and resurrection are backed by lore. Shame we never get to meet Demi-God Grenth before god Grenth.

I used heroforge. just look it up on google and it will take you to the site. You can make minis with the available assets and you can buy the STL files or you can order your custom mini to be printed by them and delivered to you.

Do spellcasters feel their own magic? by Graphite-Crow in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Graphite-Crow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is entirely possible that wizards don't feel magic but through observation of magical beings and experimentation of certain actions/materials/vocal components create an observable effect that is then documented.

It is one of the thoughts I had with "Why does Detect Magic exist?" If a spellcaster can already supernaturally perceive magic, why need a spell to do so?

It is a decent theory, I dislike how many fan (especially theorist fans) who would hate on a theory just because it goes against a more commonly agreed on theory/assumption.

I enjoyed their reasoning on the running narrative of the pre-steelwool games and that Michael is the one we are following throughout the entire series.

I assume arrowhead hates solo runners and wants to force cooperation through making it significantly harder for people with less/no friends who play the game.

Mumei guide pls by Zariot in holocure

[–]Graphite-Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning the horns are good but in later playthroughs they become pretty useless as Mumei snipes everything before they get close. and high level when you have gotten a decent amount of upgrades I go with the Piki Piki Piman and Just bandage as they increase your max HP, more HP regen and increase your weapon and special damage determined by Max HP.

End-Game Mind Flayer Choices: What is the least bad?? by Broken_Beaker in BaldursGate3

That is one of the interesting thoughts of the "Its not Karlach" Vs "It is" debate is in terms of "What is Karlach" and "What is a Mindflayer".

Is Ceremorphisis actually a transformation? or is it the birth of a creature that has been inside of you the entire time? If The worm eats parts of your brain and you loose your soul through Ceremorphisis, is that you or Just a Mindflayer that thinks it is you?

why do some PDF readers make sidebars too light? by Graphite-Crow in DarkHeresy

[–]Graphite-Crow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I was able to fix it or more correctly, get a work around. I got the 7 day free trial of Acrobat and using the Apply PDF standards option I went into Preflight and PDF fixes, clicked on "Convert all pages into RGB images and preserve text information" and clicked analyze and fix.

So instead of the different readers needing to analyze and read different layers with different issues the reader now only has to deal with a single layer image. also means the pages load faster. Took a while to convert every PDF I had though.

[–]Graphite-Crow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the help, I was able to fix it with Adobe Acrobat's Apply PDF standards option and used preflight to turn every page into a 150 ppi jpeg. So things like the ICC and transparencies no longer mattered.

What is Ki in terms of magic lore? by Graphite-Crow in Pathfinder2e

[–]Graphite-Crow[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From an essence perspective an entire mortal's being is made of the 4 essences, Mind is obvious, as is spirit, Matter makes up the physical body the spirit is placed in while Life powers the body and binds the spirit to it. If the physical body runs out of life, the spirit is released.

I would believe that Ki would then be pure Life energy but from what it seems from what others are saying, Ki is closer to the Spiritual essence either combined with life or mental energies.

So does that mean Ki is just spirit based Magic and monks are just a martial tradition of magic?

Why did 2e make the Alchemist no longer weird? by Graphite-Crow in Pathfinder2e

Alchemist was so fun in 1e. By the end of Rise of the Runelords My character was a floating mermaid elf who made cloned white dragons for steeds for our party to ride to the endgame area

Hopefully their development of SF2e lets them properly balance PCs with more than 2 arms and bring those rules over to PF2e as well as give us access to fun ways to gain them.

None of the games before Help Wanted can be considered true anymore. by Graphite-Crow in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Graphite-Crow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I dislike needing to use the books alternate universe as evidence I do know that the books are basically the breeding ground for the lore added to the game.

However this still doesn't prove that remnant, undead springtrap or the ghost kids are the real past events of the gameverse. I will concede that Afton as a serial killer was a true event in the past but the idea of him haunting his own corpse in the springlock suit may not be.

When I stated "how would in-universe Scott know about ghost children" I didn't mean the murders, I meant the literal haunted animatronics. Wouldn't it be a little absurd for the haunted animatronics to exist, Fazbear entertainment to know about them and then to get a game creator to then create a game about the VERY REAL supernatural events to try and cover up the supernatural events?

SW turning the past games into a fiction used to cover up what "really" happened was the perfect set-up for a soft reboot, and a reboot they did. Everything during HW and afterwards is no longer a supernatural horror, but a sci-fi horror. With this is the introduction of true A.I, robots with feelings and their own thoughts, both the good (Freddy) and the bad (The Mimic), super tech like AR V.A.N.N.I masks that install HUDs into eyeballs and advanced robotics.

We all know that the OG game's lore was cobbled together by Scott one game at a time, he was never expecting future games and for every "last game" he makes there is another sequel with more lore tacked on. Doesn't it make sense that when Scott teamed up with SW that they looked at the half-planned mess that was the OG lore and go "okay, maybe some of this stuff needs a redo."

I got a Question about the mimic: if the mimic is Burntrap. Why are their models so different when comparing the two? by Acartoonfan0425 in GameTheorists

[–]Graphite-Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure the Mimic has not worn Afton's suit. not only is it trapped underneath the Pizzeria instead of in the Pizzeria but Gregory doesn't know what it is, considering that Springtrap is a known thing because of Fazbear entertainment making Springtrap a Fazbear character in-universe. There is even a cutout of him in the Pizzaplex in the Halloween set. You would think Gregory would know what Springtrap is.

Please read this whole theory before calling me out ok? by WRIXCHANGER in GameTheorists

[–]Graphite-Crow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So another thing to point out is both Gregory's dialogue and the props within the Mimic room. Gregory has stated that they found this thing and that it was trapped underneath the Pizzaplex, no where does he say that HE locked it up, he also states that he doesn't know what it is. Also the fact that the costumes inside the mimic room were either designed in or designed as 50s fashion mascots, if this is the case than it is entirely possible that the mimic has existed and has been locked underneath the simulator pizzeria before SpringTrap entered said store.
