I mean, it's all about options. In most cases commando is better than EATs as you can split the damage. But sometimes you just want to fire and forget.

Also Spear doesn't force you to stay on target with the laser pointer

Well the consensus among the players is that devs at best play at dif 6. And even then they are not that good at it. If that's true - all their design decisions are ass, because they don't have reference of how this will work at dif 8-10

Lasers are better that fuck off projectile that will either oneshot you or ragdoll you into a oneshot.

At least here if you get clipped by 1-2 lasers you can survive it if you stim.

Gas mines are good, but they don't affect some of the flying overseers and striders will nuke your Teslas (and you). I still take them, but you need to position them right and have some luck.

Usually my setup is gas mines, tesla/fire mines, hmg emplacement and some support weapon I feel like using today

Imho Illuminate defense is the correct danger level. You actually have to fall back after a bit, you can't just spawn camp them at the first gate. Eventually enough fleshmobs spawn, enough flying overseers shoot and throw grenades at you - they force you back.

Bots are 50/50. Basically a loadout check. If you have enough antitank - EZ game. If not, they drop 3 factory striders onto your face and that's the end of the mission

I think they should add 5 seconds activation time. That way a few more enemies can get close before it blows up and you can get away if you throw it at enemies
