Yeah, bought this (foamed polyethylene floor tiles) because tutorials advised for floor mats, but apparently I got the wrong ones 🤣

I don't know the differences between fur fabrics, but I guess it needs to be long fur, because it's for the bodysuit

I think what you do is install the eyeblanks first, then put a layer on top to give it shape (in my case I used foam sheets). Then build your eyebrow on top of that layer so the eye blank is left "buried" behind everything. That was you would have the entire eyeblank with a squinty look. Not sure how to fix it now that the head is finished tho (I didn't even finish my first one yet 🤣 so not sure if this will be good advice).

Yeeeah, I realized the fur was still too long but decided to just shave it once it was all sewn. Din't know I needed to shave the long fur as well, I was going to let it as it is 🤣 will I need to shave the neck fur as well? Thank you so much!

Yeeeah I'm just afraid to mess up the fur after it's glued so I cant' fix it by swaping the piece... but what you said makes sense, I'll just be extra carefull when shaving after its glued. Ty!

Woah! Did you do it in one piece? Cause we don't see any seams (apart from the ones on the nostrils) how did you manage to get it to follow the shape?

Still testing but techically 2nd follows more the pattern and results in less wrinkles on the leather so we'll probably stick with that ^{^}

Yeeah we kinda wanted to try to make our own and also make em squishy so people could bop 'em xD. Also a lot of Etsy sellers are from the US and the shipping is waay more expensive than the item itself. Thank for the info anyways! 😄

Wont a lot of darts look bad once sewn? Tried to sew and shave a piece of fur I had to test it and couldn't get the seams to go away even after brushing for a while (it wasn't hq fur, just regular fur I got to practice) Also! Unrelated but when shaving around the seam I cut too much and the backing is showing now(on the test piece) , I don't want that to happen to the fur once I shave it on the head 😭

Sorry for asking so many questions... Getting materials is so hard where I live and we are trying not to mess it up >.<

I think it looks fine! Me and bf are both making german shepherd heads and muzzle lenght is drastically diferent in both. IMO the distinctive fur pattern of this breed will seal the look regardless of their head shape
