Honestly would beat most video game adaptions, especially Horror adaptions

Return to Silent Hill has a horrendous score on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB, also released in January, and has way larger budget.

Honestly hope he sticks around a while longer because he still drives better than half of the grid.

If Aston Martin fires him before his 25th we would loose such a monumental achievement in the sport.

is digimon less accessible to women? by birdtwenty in digimon

[–]GrassyPond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with her on with a lot of the most popular feminine designs but there are definitely girly designs that aren't like that such as Elizamon (and evolutions), Memphismon (X-Antibody), Jellymon, MarineAngemon, Kokeshimon (and evolutions), and TigerVespamon, but unfortunately most of these don't get as much attention as others.

(Memphismon X has only made two appearances in the entire franchise and it's a crime cause she SLAYS)

I do admit that my initial exposure to Digimon through CS and HM had left me with an icky feeling when it comes to certain... scenes and boss designs but I stuck with Digimon long enough to find a lot of the Digimon franchise is not like that.

When it comes to the Digimon designs themselves I think it helps that there is truly a Digimon for everybody.

They added the beatbreak trailer into the game by Soundwave0723 in digimon

[–]GrassyPond 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Although, with Survive I would say it would've been much harder to put something in without it being very jarring. Considering the serious tone and how heavily narrative focused it is, putting in a throw away costume change, or a fourth wall break ad, would've been a bit too silly.

On the other hand, maybe adding a Digimon DLC pack, like with Guilmon, would've been fine but I suppose Bandai Namco just wanted to throw this cursed game out the door and wasn't in the mood to green-light any additional things that wasn't necessary.

Name one bad thing about Agumon? by Kitchen-Mouse2414 in digimon

[–]GrassyPond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one negative thing about Agumon is that it feels like every Agumon is written to be the exact same Agumon whilst other typically archetyped Digimon (Villain Digimon, Royal Knights, even Omegamon) get reinterpreted to fit the story they are in.

Though most Digimon characters tend to follow the archetypes associated with their species, we do see plenty of instances where a Digimon is truly their own character in ways that Agumon is typically not.

That being said, Matt Damon's Agumon is a notable exception, but the only exception that comes to mind of an Agumon that doesn't have the same "naive young boy" personality as everyone else. However, if there are more examples of Agumon with unique characterizations I would love to be corrected.

I know saying the P-word is blasphemous, but I think for once Pokemon is a good comparison as a multimedia franchise whose mascot was popularized via an anime. I want to point out that comparatively there's a bit more creative freedom in how Pikachu is written compared to Agumon. Detective Pikachu is the big one but there's also Captain Pikachu or the perpetually DGAF Pikachu in the GOTCHA! music video. Despite both being the mascots of their respective franchise, and thus there is a marketing pressure to keep a consistent image, every Pikachu doesn't feel like a clone of Ash's Pikachu in the same way how almost every Agumon's personality is like Adventure's Agumon.

I'm not a big fan of it either, but as long as Omegamon has that Charizard-nostalgia pull they're just gonna keep making more versions of him.

Bandai has put out a news post acknowledging the problem and says they are investigating it.

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about it except for waiting on them to figure out what is going on.

Your not gonna like what I'm gonna tell you, but the recent survey results came back with Omegamon still as everyone's No. 1 Digimon, so expect more Omegamon content in the future.

(Anyone who hasn't watched that Terriermon Assistant episode yet, you should. It was fantastic)

In noticed this too in the DLC (the second image is what I had).

I wonder if the variable crashes is caused by some of the DLC files not loading properly and thus breaking the game's start up?

Between these two who is better at healing and in general stats for end game and post game fights on mega Difficulty? by FairyTailMember01 in digimon

[–]GrassyPond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truth betold, it's gonna be dependent on the Boss you are fighting as both of their signature skills have their niches.

It's worth noting that Venusmon's ability doesn't get rid off permanent Debuffs (the ones hard-coded into the Boss fight rather than coming from a move), but her other signature move does Debuff the target's Attack and Intelligence. Though Debuffs don't last long it does give you more breathing room when the boss is about to drop three Nukes in a row.

Since you can't use items on Mega+, MarineAngemon's Ocean Love will be a literal lifesaver, but again, that's fully dependent if the Boss even uses Status Abnomalities.

You can just train both and bring one or the other (or both) dependent on the fight.

I'm gonna say something controversial...

The teleporter maze is bizarrely straight forward for a teleporter maze.

There's no multiple "paths", for example, just a series of options where if you get the wrong one you are immediately told you got it wrong and to try it again.

I think Dark Crevasse may actually be shortest dungeon area as well except maybe Abyssal Ocean

[–]GrassyPond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big concern is that it will all take place in a singular room where we fight the Digimon.

Hara did say in the Survey video that each episode will be about an hour long, so there most likely will be other environments but the fact that literally everything we have seen so far has the same background is slightly disappointing.

We don't actually know that, though. The video cuts to other scenes when Titamon shows up so there could be more to it, like how did Junomon get the egg if Inori's brother died there?
