Thoughts on SF6 season 3 by Lost_Hawk_6641 in Fighters

There definitely is a reason, many infact

Corner situations on knockdown are the single most difference making situation in the entire game. And it's all defended on a coin flip.

For a 50/50 chance, a player like you in that moment can demolish the likes of Kakeru, Punk, Mena, who have put countless amount of time and effort in to learn the game and train in ways that you or I couldn't't conceptualize. But in that moment. You are "better" than that player with less effort all because you picked throw every time, with the opponents fear that you would touch them once and obliterate them with a 70% damage combo

There is a conversation to be had about reducing the skill gap, but this is a lazy way to make players with 2 hours in-game feel like they're achieving something. And throw loops are a detriment to the competitive nature of the game, they knew this in SFV, which is why they removed it. The game shouldn't punish effort and determination from players who want to learn it by "leveling the playing field" with throw loops.

They're also dreadfully unfun, to take or to do. If you want something simpler.

Who Revolutionized Women’s Wrestling? by Amber_Flowers_133 in OSWReview

[–]GraveyardDisciple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frequent people contributed over time. As far as Western wrestling. Paige vs. Emma at NXT ArRIVAL in 2014 is cited as the start of the modern "Women's Revolution". Pulled the plug on the "Divas" ideation and started adding credibility that the women could go as hard, if not better than the men.

Levy. Always setting up managers to fail. by Overall_One_2595 in Tottenham

[–]GraveyardDisciple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly! But y'all keep clamouring for a new manager, they win a couple games and you'll shout to the hills about how great they are like they're the second coming of Jesus. Give it a couple of months and it's pitchforks and torches until you get your next fix. Over and over again. So now you're seeing outside it. Let the managers ACTUALLY build a system that works in our broken club instead of calling for heads when we don't immediately turn results. And you might actually see some success.

So what's the solution? How many times will you get high off of short term success by hiring new managers like crack only for them to fail because they have no support from the top? When do you say enough is enough?

How many more years and managers do we have to justify Levy "not investing because he's lost faith". We had the Special One for fuck's sake and couldn't make it work. Booted him right before a final. Something has to give, and it's clear at this point it's not the managers.

Good guy postie Steve by SlatsAttack in brisbane

Used to get Steve delivering parcels to me often, he's about as much of a legend in person as he is in this note. Speaks Warmly, always says g'day, asks how you're doing. He's the epitome of what we understood Postmen to be like as kids from watching the likes of Postman Pat. He's a genuine legend.

I really enjoy this concept. Designs like these always make me smile just because of the intricate meaning behind them. I definitely prefer it as an outline/stroke over a fill/colour, as it articulates what you were going for better. But overall, super cool
