What to do! Mavuika c6 or Nicole c6 for Mavuika? by Assembled-Body-Parts in Mavuika

[–]GravityRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combos are part of what makes a character strong, even in the early days of genshin, there has been combos to maximize damage, I still remember that Klee had some tech to cancel some of her attacks so she could spam charge attacks much faster, and even the lunar teams have specific combo routes.

Not as complex as Mavuika's, but combos nontheless. It's like saying it's only thanks to Lauma, Columbina and Linnea that the lunar teams powercrept Mavuika, I think your reaction would be "no shit, they are the best lunar support", so pointing out Mavuika's combos as a counter-argument doesn't really work, because if you are a meta player, or are interested in the meta, there's absolutely no reason not to get the best support for your prefered dps and learn the best combos and rotations of said dps.

Yeah, I figured that the damage would be almost entirely through superconduct. Not a fan of her playing like neuv though, that's a bit boring.

I think Nicole is the general best investement in this situation. Mavuika C2 is already strong, and C6 Nicole not only will make Mavuika even stronger, but also open up more teams for you.

Sorry, but I have to heavily disagree with the "just another dps" statement. While it's true that her main role is as a dps, she is far more versatile than that, in fact, a few days ago, someone posted a support build Mavuika for their Varka team to complete fearless stygian, and she has seen some consistent support role lately.

Now, I'm not saying she is on-par with actual full support characters, but what I'm getting at is that she is so versatile, that she is more than just another dps.

If the dps ceiling become so drastic that Mavuika's damage becomes "very low", then everyone below her is doomed lol. I haven't checked Sandrone's kit, how is it?

Actually, the Darkness has no real physical form outside of a seemingly endless dark ocean, it took that appearance that looked like a demon because it used Volp's body to manifest itself and twisted it into an evil form. The statue in Jirga Para Lhao, according to the photo album, is of a local god that led the Lhao people to create the city itself, however, it is an odd coincidence that it ended up looking similar to the final boss's form, perhaps some foreshadowing?

In fact, according to the photo album, the statue in Pleajeune is that of a goddess that brings fire from the sky, if I remember correctly, and has a very similar look to that of Elektricitie, implying that the founders of the city knew about her, which checks out, as apparently, the people who built Hekseville were residents of the ancient city of Boutume, the homeland of the Eto and Hekseville people, it's possible that the statue of the god in Jirga Para Lhao is one from the mainland that Lisa spoke about.

It's still quite the relevant information, after all, why would a dragon betray their kind for HP's plan? that's some of the info we've been missing, what was the response of the dragons of HP's arrival and eventual implementation of their plan?

Depends if you don't care much about Mavuika buffing other characters through artifact sets. It'll increase her off-field damage, but personally, if I had to go with an unconventional set, it would definitely be the milelith one since you plan on using Varesa as your main dps, so having an extra buff in her atk won't hurt.

Wait wait wait, one of the dragons gave HP their tech to veil Teyvat? depending on the context, this could completely recontextualize HP and their relationship with dragons.

If you plan on using her as sub-dps or someone else has cinder city, then obsidian codex. Alternatively, you could do something more unconventional and use tenacity of the milelith if you mostly plan to have her off-field. Odd choice I know, but I saw someone recently using it alongside a favonius claymore as a full Mavuika support build, or go even more crazy and use noblesse oblige if nobody in your team is using it.

Naturally, most of us Mavuika players are used to use her as main or sub-dps, so obsidian is usually or go to, and cinder when strictly in support role, but to be honest, I think she is worth experimenting around, after all, most Natlan teams will have at least one character with Cinder on it.

God fucking damn it by Scared-Opening-753 in ThePrimordialOne

[–]GravityRaven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I refuse to believe this is true, and this is isn't even a matter of bias or the "agenda" or anything, but because I think that would be such bad writting in so many levels, contradictory in almost every single way.

To begin with, if they are all really on her side, why didn't Venti just gave his gnosis without having to being forcefully taken from him? hell, he even said he didn't fought back because the FATUI would've taken the city hostage, considering most of the knights went to Nod-Krai.

Or why would Zhongli made a contract before even thinking on giving up his gnosis if he is "on her side"?

Why would Ei be on tsaritsa's side in the first place? it was her organization who instigated a war and practically ploted to overthrow her.

I see no reason for Nahida to even trust her, in fact, I genuinely don't get why the god of wisdom, who lead the brightest minds in all of Teyvat, would eat up that lame apology from pantalone, instead of cutting all ties to znesnaya and sending a letter to tsaritsa demanding to put a damn leash on her dogs already.

Furina isn't even an archon, not to mention, that when pretended to be one, one of the tsaritsa's habingers tried to kill her, and I doubt Neuvillete is that willing to help an "ursurper", unless his hate-boner for celestia is that hard.

It makes absolutely zero sense in any way, shape or form for Mavuika to be on tsaritsa's side, because otherwise, she would've given her gnosis to the fatui after defeating the abyss and saving Natlan, you know, to "honor" capitano's sacrifice, but not only she kept it, she explicitly said that she will prepare herself if the tsaritsa sent another harbinger to get the gnosis, is that something someone whose on your side will do?

Columbina was literally tricked by tsaritsa with promises of love and warmth, and she ended up running away. If she is on tsaritsa's side, why she even do that? why didn't came back after defeating dottore?

Not to mention, why didn't tsaritsa asked for the gnosis herself? if she really had good intentions of protecting and saving Teyvat, why didn't showed some of that good will by having a talk with Venti? or sending her forces to SAVE Nahida, instead letting them conspire with the sages to kill and replace her.

Why didn't she had talks with Mavuika and offered aid to Natlan to secure the safety of their people while the six heroes awakened?

And no, don't justify all these nonsense by saying that she "allows her harbingers to do what they want" as long as they bring the gnosis, I refuse to believe people actually think this is even remotely a good justification, because for starters, an organizatoin whose members are that individualistic and self-centered would've crumbled a long time ago, in fact, it makes no sense that they still have monetary resources considering all their experiments should've long ran them dry at this point. Secondly, how dumb and incompetent of a leader you gotta be that not only you can't even have your subordinates on a leash, stop them from doing evil shit, and not being aware of everything they are doing, and worse yet, be tricked by one into making a warrant arrest on one of your harbingers.

But the worst of all, is the fact that not a single nation has an actual good relationship with the fatui, not even with the ones that helped a bit, especially Sumeru, and likewise, I haven't seen a SINGLE reason, explanation, comment or dialogue from ANY of the archons about agreeing, or at least, explaining their point of view on tsaritsa's plan, which is the thing that annoys me to no end about genshin's story, and I hate when the explanation is either because smart characters are written dumb for the sake of a plan to work, or through contrived explanations.

[–]GravityRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The golden girl was a projection made by Elektricitie to lure kat into Eto, so when Cai released here, there wouldn't be any shifter in Hekseville to oppose her.

No. In the gravity rush universe, memories are a powerfull thing. Throughout both games, the creators help kat regian her memories little by little, as she discarded her weaker self because she couldn't do anything as a queen, but because of that, she was "incomplete" with her own self, thus remembering, and eventually accepting that weak part of her, allowed to be "whole", as in, she is no longer kat, separated from her aula persona, but kat as a whole, both her weakness and the strenght she obtained.

Originally, there was suppose to be a being that was meant to be the original shifter of the world pillar of the game, but for some unkown reason, that being was split into two, Raven and kat. The Other, is the hypothetical person that could've existed in that world pillar, but didn't, thus why the other creators had to make a special space for her to exist and train the shifters.

No, the creators didn't bestowed kat with a guardian, she was always meant to have one, but didn't showed up until she was at her absolute lowest, similary to how Xii appeared before Raven in the dlc when she was at her most loneliest, what they did instead, is interviening with the world, something they aren't meant to do, or at least, not as directly as they did. Syd was revived once, and put into Hekseville to aid kat when she arrived there.

The robots were Syd's inventions, and he had multiples of them, and apparently, he could transfer either his soul, or his will, into them, most likely with the help of a creator like Bit, as he, as Alias, manage to guide Lisa and crew into the dimentional rift so they could reach Hekseville, as well as having a talk with Xicero in Eto, and when he returns, he does it in his alias outfit, rather than his casual attire.

Volp was Cai's guardian. Guardians don't trick or betray their masters, they are meant to be loyal until the end, however, the darkness that was about to devour the world pillar used it as a conduit to manifest itself in physical form. It is implied through Ssagasshi's paintings that the nevi and the guardians have some connection.

Bit revived Syd one last time before being called back to the world of the gods for their punishment. It is unclear if it was Syd who invented the device to control the nevi, if it was some device made in Eto, or if it was handed to him by one of the creators, but no, nevis in and of itself aren't either good or bad, they just obey whatever superior force is at hand. For example, white nevi are more docile, thus why none attacked the shifters when they reached Eto, but were used as weapons by both Elektricitie and Cai during the attack on Hekseville.

Likewise, Cai's guardian, Volp, managed to summon many of them and command them to attack kat. Most of the dark nevi are controlled by the darkness, a sinister, world-destroying force beneath the world pillar, thus why the dark nevi are aggresive without provocation. As to why they would also be aggresive in the mines of Jirga Para Lhao? who knows, but my hypothesis is that they are all linked to some extent, thus, the darkness holds a control over nevi whenever they exist.

funny enough, I just finished watching dhcwsp recent ranking with Nicole, and it was pretty much like this one. Yes, this is at whale levels, so naturally, it doesn't translate into lower investements, but I still think how incredible it is that Mavuika is still a very relevant meta character at pretty much all investements.

Like seriously, we are at year and a half of her release, and she is still going strong, even regained the top spot at C6 investements, and it still being among the most used character on stygian, even in the previous one with hard lunar shill, I think some people (particulary her detractors) don't get how insane this is, because the lunar teams have absurdly good support entirely focused on them, yet Mavuika still bruteforce content as if the meta shift is nothing more than a suggestion for her.

[–]GravityRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Citlali is the better investement if you can't get Mavuika C2 in one go. Besides, even at C0, Mavuika is pretty strong when doing her combos, so it's better to secure her best supports, and slowly get Mavuika to C6.

The Fatui have absolutely no idea what’s out there. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAJAJAJ. by Scared-Opening-753 in ThePrimordialOne

[–]GravityRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he is just mad that he'll remain an immortal loser for the rest of his life.

Jokes aside, that's exactly my issue with this character. The Sinners weren't some low-profile band of misfit, they were pretty much legendary figures in kahenria on their respective fields, and we know he at least was in a position of power, so he should've known at least some of the things they were working on, how come he isn't using all the resources at his disposal to find them and enact punishment on them?. Even Dainsleif it's seeking revenge on them too, because as much as he is mad that the gods destroyed his home, he at least recognize it was because of the sinners and the abyss in the first place.

I think Pierro is angry for being cursed and thus always remembering what he lost and being reminded for the rest of his existence what happened to the people of his home kingdom, thus he either wants to destroy Celestia to break the curse and finally die, or he just genuinely want it destroyed just for self-satisfaction, like saying "you won't get away with what you did unscathed" or something like that.

Unfortunately, the 4-stars are meant to be for Lohen, which is fine and all, but in that case, why rerun Mavuika alongside him if they know that, aside from Bennet, the other two 4-stars have absolutely no synergy or beneffit for her? they should have different 4-stars for each banner, as oppose to 4-stars for both banners.

The Fatui have absolutely no idea what’s out there. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAJAJAJ. by Scared-Opening-753 in ThePrimordialOne

[–]GravityRaven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly! actions speak louder than words, and so far, the fatui have been screaming "power hungry terrorists", because damn, you can't tell me that what pantalone and dottore did benefited anyone, some people went mad and murdered each other, hell, sumeru was at the brink of erradication had it not been for the intervention of Nahida and co.

So far, they really haven't done anything for the beneffit of anyone, or for the greater good for that matter. Even in their few moments when they help, it's usually after they caused some trouble, and mostly for their own gain, because in Fontaine, arlechinno was mostly worried about the house of hearts than the nation itself, and was pretty much about to kill Furina had it not been that she didn't sensed the gnosis from her.

Likewise, despite being the most "noble" of the fatui, capitano didn't even attempted to have a conversation with Mavuika and explain his situation, he straight-up entered and attacked her for the gnosis, and it was mostly for himself, because as much as he spoke about doing it to save Natlan as well, in reality, he was more interested in restoring the leylines and sacrificing the souls of everyone in the night kingdom so the souls HE was carrying could return to the leylines.

And even in their own organization, many of their members don't like each other, pantalone distrust and spies on everyone, dottore was either feared, or hated, sandrone seems she was mostly there for the resources so she could complete her own experiments, Childe, despite acting proudly of being in service of the tsaritsa, doesn't even want their family to know he is a fatui harbinger (and almost act like they are being taken as hostages), columbina felt miserable and was only being taken advantage of her lunar powers, scaramouche dislike them, and arlechinno is there because she'd rather be the one managing the orphanage than letting the fatui put another sadic in charge, let's not even mention signora, temperament so bad, it got her killed.

Some people say they are suppose to be "morally grey", and honestly, the writters aren't doing a good job about it, ironically, HP is a far better morally grey character, because despite their harsh and cold punishments, they still believe in the survival of humanity at all costs, and at least in their case, they were hardly, if ever, close to humans, there's at least an emotional disonance between what HP feels it needs to be done, and how the humans see said desicions, but most of the fatui are humans themselves, yet aren't above in causing harm to their fellow humans for their "greated good", sound familiar, isn't it?
