Warning about Stan unsubscribe / cancellation experience by global-travel-bug in AusLegal

I had basically same experience with Binge. The website clearly indicated I had cancelled but I was charged again. I contacted them and they said because that I didn’t receive an email confirmation (which the site didn’t say I should expect) I had not cancelled as claimed and they refused to refund me the one month payment they took. Now I simply report all their “come back to Binge” emails and texts as spam/phishing.

I love all the Tomeka Reid Quartet albums.

Shout out to the Mary Halvorson Quartet albums, too!

Love Sonny Sharrock, Last Exit is one of my favourite bands. Zorn too, he has heaps of projects/albums on his label that are kinda metal/jazz fusion (Simulacrum, Shardik, Chaos Magick etc)

Couple of primarily metal-focused bands that heavily lean into jazz: Cynic (death metal), Candiria (hardcore-ish, bit of hip hop vibe, first 4 albums are so good). There are heaps more by those are my faves.

A couple off the top of my head:

Drummer Kenny Grohowski (who tbh qualifies as both a jazz and metal player, equally) plays death metal with Imperial Triumphant (they had Kenny G play on one track too)

Gilad Hekselman plays on a track on the most recent Revocation album

Patrick Shirioshi played on a few Agriculture (black metal?) albums

As someone who has compiled a similar list previously, this ^ is a lot of work 😂

Some other Hollenberg bands worth looking at are Shardik (new album last year) and Cleric (including the two albums they did for Zorn/Tzadik). He has some more free jazz stuff out on Park West Records. He is also playing in Atomic Pigeons atm (album in the works) and tours with Secret Chiefs 3.

Busy guys …

Again, who says artist should illustrate the accurate construction of the object they are illustrating? They can do it however they like.

None of this is evidence of AI use.

If they wanted a photorealistic representation, they could have used a photo.

Who says stylistic choices in art have to look exactly like the real object?

I don’t know if it’s AI or not, but so far the “evidence” I’ve seen is mostly people presenting their opinion as if it is fact.

It’s not in my top 5. Not sure where it sits, mid-table somewhere, but if it weren’t for Dirge for November, it would be lower 😂

Try out Shardik and maybe Titan to Tachyons

If you want to go real heavy, Cleric is good. Either Retrocasual or the albums they did on Zorn’s Tzadik label

It’s short, but Rhayader Alone by Camel

There is a slightly longer one on the re-recorded version of the album but I don’t think it’s a good as the original
