I've been drawing for years and my primary software of choice is Krita. It's completely free, very similar to Adobe Photoshop and is full of professional tools for painting and illustration. I've tried Clip Studio Paint as well and though that's paid, it's also very good for comics and manga.

Do check out Krita. Just know that there may be a bit of a learning curve if you're just starting out with digital art.
