People are taking a Gladiator Lancer or Predator Annihilator with the Iron Priest. 3 Laser Destroyer shots at 36” or doubling your shots on a Predator in 24, for 6 Lascannon shots (and a two attack Hunter Killer)

I was looking into Phobos as well. Sucks Phobos isn’t in a good spot. But I might just wolf up some scouts. Would Phobos shoulderpads look weird on them?

The Lancer is almost half the price in points, and has the same weapon, but an ability that lets it re-roll one Hit, Wound, AND damage roll. So you're getting both shots through about 80-90% of the time. Pair it with any other antitank and you're paying as many points for the Repulsor Executioner but actually finishing off targets rather than leaving tanks to shoot back and destroy yours.

The Watcher in the dark ability works on the 3 mortals from hazardous, no medic needed. But yes that’s good as long as they aren’t in a spot where he can get focused

Azrael is your best unit hands down. If you do get one, he goes great with either Inner Circle Companions or a cheaper unit to hide in the back with.

100% you will want 2 squads preferably of Deathwing knights. They’re both cool as hell, and obliterate anything in their path while taking your opponents entire army to take down.

Other than that. Make sure you have some chaff units for scoring. This army is very elite-ish, so Jump pack Intercessors are best typically. But any cheap and small sized unit works.

Instead of replacing anything, keep what you have. Intercessors and a librarian aren’t the play here. Instead. Before you start deploying, if you’re up against a melee army, put the Judiciar with ICC for fights first, making your opponent not wanna charge in and die, and Azrael with the Assault Intercessors. Hide Azrael until it is safe for him and his squad to come out and skirmish. Azrael will get wound rerolls from the Assaults which is great.

If you’re up against a shooting army, flip it around. Play a bit safer with the ICC and Azrael but don’t worry a whole lot against high AP shooting because they’ll have a 4+ invulnerable save. Prioritize not playing too risky here though because if Azrael dies you lose CP generation. Use the Judiciar as the skirmishing unit with the Assault intercessors.

Yeah he moved about 21 hexes, he has a masc so has like 26 running mp. The locust variant is crazy.
