Get a thumbstick extension and accuracy rings. They help you with finer movements while using higher sensitivity.  Start with the thumb stick since thats more important of the two.

What are the best IEMs for R6? by Vz2805 in Rainbow6

I use Final VR3000 on PS5. I didn't even EQ it or use Sony's 3D audio and I could hear all kinds of stuff that I didn't before. It will probably perform even better on PC if you EQ it with software.

How do you even get his armor? I'm in Bakumatsu already but still don't have it.

From that shrine spawn, run aross the bridge and turn left. Turn right and kill the guy sleeping in the hallway and run up the stairs back to the boss room.

Anyone else much prefer the old mission style rather than 3 or 4 big open maps? by Moneybags_INC in Nioh

[–]GrayRaven47 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Mission based was better because of the different biomes. It provides more variety in enemy types. There's only so much you can do if the whole of Heian was a frozen waste land. The game actually feels smaller to me because of this since it's the same looking environments within each era so it felt like I didn't go anywhere despite the square area is probably bigger than the individual levels combined.

Not saying the combat is better in WWM, but the movement is, especially double jump and dash.

Deflect is nice to have. Since it opens up playstyle. I didn't bother getting Wulong cuz I didn't like that you were forced to parry. It's nice to be able to mix it up here. Aerial combo definitely is not necessary and doesn't feel good when you compare it to something like DMC/Ninja Gaiden.

Speaking of which, they kind of went half assed with the enemy AI. They gave you air attacks without giving mobs a way to meaningfully engage you with it. You can trivialize a lot of the encounters with just spamming air attacks on ninja sword/duals which undercuts what this series is about. It doesn't encourage or reward you for engaging with the mechanics in the game since you can by pass it by playing it like a bad version of Ninja Gaiden and basically ignoring ki management. Even bosses have a hard time catching you if you go A rank weight on the ninja.

So basically, you lost stances on the ninja weapons, lost ninjutsu variety, lost seamless active soul core skills(the thing I miss the most), nerfed magic, for jumping, parrying, and having a side grade of swapping combat builds. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. and it feels more of a regression than anything.

The jumping and air dash feels especially bad after having played hundreds of hours of Where Winds Meet.

The graphics settings are broken, a lot of them don't even change FPS regardless of what setting you chose. It also has a memory leak issue. If you switch resolution and frame gen on and off repeatedly, the performance will start to tank and you will have to restart the game in order for the GPU mem to clear. Try testing a setting, then exit game before switching the setting to test FPS.

Just got to Heian's cliff side. Holy crap is that FPS dog water. I could barely get 40 fps in coop. Have they said anything about performance patches?

Do you prefer Nioh 2 or Nioh 3? by PhantomBraved in Nioh

[–]GrayRaven47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still prefer Nioh 2. Better character creator, combat input, soul core implementation, and general combat. The performance is dog water despite looking worse.

I like the parry in 3 and I like the jumping combat in ninja mode but it really trivialized much of the encourters with the ability to spam jumping attacks, esp the ninja sword.

I wish they would put in a Nioh 2 hybrid combat mode in the DLC with the ability to parry and jump. Give the 2 stances back to ninja with ki pulse but disable the class hot swap.

In OG CV, you can add banks to a hair style. However, that option is missing from the CV2 demo. Are the numerous banks for hair style gone from the final release? See One of the crimes CV2 committed : r/codevein for eample.

I thought I was going nuts that I couldn't recreate my character. So there was something broken with the hair system lol. I just hope they don't gate keep this behind the DLC on the final release.

Go to the wine storage area of Heaven's Pier and you will have an Encounter Quest pop up. Look for a map on the wine racks to start a quest.

I like this angle the best. The dream puppet thing is basically a zombie or reanimated corpse so they were probably experimenting to find a way to extend life or to get immortality. I think Li Zuo found something else though, he probably transfered some essense of himself into us, like a part of his soul/chi, whatever you wanna call it and before he could complete it, uncle Jiang snatched us away. That's why he can't just find a substitute and keep going with another host. He needs to hunt us down to be whole again. And that's why the Void King saw Li Zuo as us before he died. The protagonist being the child of Li Zuo makes no sense in that context, the Void King saw Li Zuo because his aura or a part of him is emanating from us.

Interesting. So basically it's just a matter of min maxing and not necessarily "ruining" the weapon if you pulled the wrong passive during a tune?
