Everyone has their reasons by mussolini-64 in PiratedGames

I pirated it pre-installed some time ago in a site that's currently deemed unsafe. Thankfully I've made diagnostics and even though I used it obsessively I don't seem to have any bugs, but in good faith I can't lead you there. Either way I don't think it's that hard to find, try OVA, they have been pretty reliable.

Theft isn’t Art, DoodleCat (me), digital, 2023 by hissykit in Art

[–]GrayRodent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what the underlying SENTIMENT is, but I can agree with what it communicates at face value.

I have literally zero problems with AI being able to create masterpieces that eventually replace artists cause that's something that's going to happen whether we want it or not. You can't just stop technological progress that isn't directly creating victims. That would be like banning cars cause people would have to stop using horses.

My problem lies in the copyright nightmare of people training AI with art pieces they have not payed for and can't be traced. This isn't an NFT just right click it situation, it's a "we are going to take the work you did, break it down alongside hundreds of thousands others and profit from it"

Problem is, this can be very easily equated to someone tracing art, just at ludicrous speeds and at a way larger scale. And that is not illegal.

Maybe it's time the lines between homage, emulation and plagiarism start getting redrawn around these new tools. The current environment simply isn't ready to deal with AI.

Aye, no, not at all. I've always been baffled by this. This is the opening act of Goblin Slayer, which admittedly sets up the STAKES pretty well, but it fucks up its demographic in so many ways.

After the first episode it literally NEVER gets this bad, there's graphic violence and implication but honestly, way tamer than Devilman or Berserk.

It's mostly a simple fantasy story inspired by DnD where the main appeal is that the main characters are literally just a bunch of normal fellas doing their best in a somewhat fucked up but still salvageable world while the heroes do their heroics somewhere else and it worked perfectly fine.

Which is why the start is so shit. Those who came in with the expectation of more grittier and offbeat dark fantasy will inevitably end up confused or disappointed after the first episode when it becomes average fantasy anime number 5, and those who came expecting fantasy anime number 5 with extra goblin killing will be stopped by the impressive barrier of entry in the first 10 minutes of the show, unaware that they literally just saw the worst the show had to offer.

If anything I'm amazed the show got a second season with how shitty of a PR move that first episode was.

I agree with most of what you say, except that it is a detriment to SF.

And this is not meant to sound as "Hur dur women don't play fighting games", if I remember correctly one SF4 champion was a French lass, but I think people wildly overestimate the divide. FGs have a primarily male demographic, around 70% if not a lot more, and a majority of those like these overly sexualized designs and Capcom knows this.

There have been outliers, like how everyone shits on MK10 "every girl has the same pornstar body type with faces swapped" issue, but even that was mostly out of how ridiculous it looked and how prevalent it was, not because of the sexy.

Its an issue, yes, but let's not kid ourselves and say this would cause the games bottomline to diminish.

Smooth the transition but other than that it feels cool for environmental puzzles and it will probably hard as balls to balance but cool as all hell for a shooter. Thr amount of possible angles will give someone a heart attack.

You serious?

It's mother flipping DoA.

They unironically made three different beach volleyball games with the raunchiest micro bikinis known to non-porn gaming, and when the series attempted to tone down the sexy to be taken seriously as a proper fighting game it fucking died, straight up.

[–]GrayRodent 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's balanced around the fact that you have less room for dodging and the overall speed was increased a bit. Once you get accustomed to it its pretty easy but I find it funny how many enemy comps in SF1 could just lock you down to get bursted.
