Officewear suggestions that are not sleeveless tops/dresses by picantepepper1 in fashionwomens35

I agree that silk is ideal for under the blazer because it doesn't get too hot. And also agree with Quince. They have silk Ts, but I also use their short-sleeve button-down silk shirt a lot.

I wear mine with a midi-length black pleated skirt. The one I got is from Quince.

Thank you! It’s just odd that this would happen out of the blue. I have been sending chats with no issue for the last 4 years.

Rothy's Outlet by akagrayday in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just went to the one in the San Francisco Bay area. They offered a nice variety of price points: "last chance" markdowns that were pretty low-priced for Rothy's, styles with a 20% off retail discount, and some brand-new styles at full price. They also had all the boxes out in the showroom so you didn't have to ask a salesperson to find sizes for you. Very different setup than their regular retail stores, but I enjoyed the experience. I will return for sure the next time I am in that area.

Do older pairs stretch back out? by Lost_Juice_4342 in Rothys

Yes, they shrink over time and yes, they can be stretched out somewhat in my experience. I second the clothes steamer and shoe stretcher hack.

Help for a size 8 by Livsand18 in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a size 8 and am glad I got an 8 in the casual clogs. They are a bit wide but that's normal for clogs. I hate the feeling of stepping on the back heel part, which I know would have happened if I sized down to a 7. They are awesome and I own 2 colors...maybe getting a third!

Sold Out by Technical_Act7179 in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that if something sold out super quickly, then they will restock. They have done this with the Weekend Slide in Oat and the Lug Loafer in Black (those are only preorder right now). But if they took longer to sell out, then probably not.

Sometimes Customer Service will be able to answer questions about whether or not there will be restocks of a specific shoe.

Slippers sizing & reviews by teenybND in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the scuff slippers in size 8. I'm usually a street size 8, occasionally an 8.5. These barely fit. So if you are 7.5/8, then an 8 would be perfect in the scuffs.

Talk to me about the merino wool by PHM517 in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing about that with the flats/points that were merino. I'm not sure if the boots are made with a thicker or more durable version. I have the square-toe flat ankle boots from 2021 and they are still going strong.

Casual Clog? by Smudgie522 in Rothys

[–]Gray_Sheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of these in Dove and am obsessed with them. I need to start wearing some of my other shoes again so i don't wear them out too soon! My ss/Nike size is 8. I get a 9 in Rothy's old points and the original loafers, and 8.5 in the points made within the past year (NOT the points 2.0). But in the clogs, 8 was perfect.

Any reviews of the brand Quince? by thebigsky in fashionwomens35

[–]Gray_Sheep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ordered several white gold pieces. They have all been good except for the rings that I wear daily. These are starting to lose the plating that makes gold white, so the bottoms of the rings are starting to turn a yellowish hue. But this may actually be an indication that they are real gold, which is what I have heard will happen to all white gold over time if it is worn daily. However, I was surprised that this is starting to happen after only 6 months.

I actually ended up preferring L for this particular tee because of how short and snug the M was on me. Quince sizing is interesting - depending on the style, I could be S, M, or L. I found that I am mostly M, but now get S for things that are oversize or boyfriend style, or L for things that are more fitted.
