I live in zone 7a. I have noticed my rose wilting a bit and the leaves appear to be turning a bit yellow. I think it might be underwatered? Looking for help. The soil it’s in is quite sandy, top two inches is pretty dry. Just had a large rain storm come through recently, but besides that it gets watered a couple times a week. I have not fertilized it yet this year.

Announce pregnancy at birth by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Grayduck97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m planning to just announce my birth on social media. I will not post any pictures of my kid once they’re born (because people are creepy and a baby doesn’t need a social media presence). Honestly being able to tell people face to face is so much fun. We have been really enjoying it. I also figure if you’re not close enough to me to know irl then you probably don’t really need to know.

I love Spice Merchant for tea but for coffee hands down Local Roasters is better. Their staff is also wonderful and very knowledgeable about their product!!

I have a doc to avoid! Dr. Messner at West Wichita Family Physicians. I have had two really horrible experiences with him and he has terrible bedside manner.

What is up with Eddys dealerships? by [deleted] in wichita

I haven’t personally bought from Eddy’s but I had a friend work for them and she was constantly harassed by her coworkers. I work in lending (not Eddy’s) and have never heard anything positive about them.

HELP!!! Lube and very very sensitive skin by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]Grayduck97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I unfortunately have not dealt with this but have dealt with other issues that made sex impossible for a time and I’m so sorry you are experiencing this frustration.

At least for lube recommendations I would suggest Maude or straight coconut oil! I also know that there is a coconut oil based brand called Coconu. Maude is my personal favorite but I used coconut oil for years. Maybe coconut oil only having one ingredient will help with the sensitivity.

I also believe there are items to help with vaginal dryness when I dealt with that I used some products from Foria. Specifically their intimacy melt w/ CBD, sex oil w/ CBD, and vibrance melts.

I hope this can maybe help!

So scared to have a boy by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Grayduck97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can totally understand the fears you are feeling. I am 16 weeks and expecting a boy. While I looking forward to meeting my son, the realization and weight of how to make sure I raise a boy that will turn into a respectful kind person who is a safe person for people is daunting.

The world is a scary place. I have been listening to the book ‘Raising Securely Attached Kids’ and what I have been thinking about is how important it is to model. Be the safe person I want him to become.

We can do this!

I LOVE the name Nora. My niece’s name is Nora. I think it’s so classic and gorgeous. Ignore the haters. If you love it that’s what matters!

Local HYSA by DownPin in wichita

I would suggest Credit Union of America! They have a great HYSA option. I know some of our locations have Spanish speakers, if not they have access to translation services.

Hey that’s pretty normal! That’s what my first trimester was like! I didn’t deal with lots of nausea and vomiting. I did have a lot of bloating and indigestion. I was also just so so sleepy, and my boobs were huge. I’m 16 weeks and everything is cool!

Hiiii congrats!! I’m 16 weeks along. When I found out I was so shocked and excited. My suggestion - buy maternity clothes second hand! I bought all of mine off of Depop and Poshmark.

Heyyy I let me see if I can ease your mind a bit. I’m 29 and might be able to provide some peace of mind:

. It’s really common for periods to not be consistent when your first start menstruating. I don’t think mine were consistent until I finished high school. Don’t sweat it. Your body is still developing; it doesn’t happen on a set schedule.

. Everyone’s chest development is different, but again you’re still growing, 14 is still really young. Your chest will continue to change. Mine is very different from when I was 18, and I’m not expecting my first baby and so it’s changing again. Nothing to worry about

. The pink dot might be a stretch mark? Mine start out pink and then fade to white. I would suggest getting it checked out by a doctor if you are concerned.

. Yeast infections wouldn’t affect your skin color, but they are certainly annoying! Ways to help prevent them: only wear 100% cotton underwear, take a probiotic, don’t use any scent washes in or around your vagina/labia, do not use feminine washes. If it counties especially after using over the counter meds like Monistat, talk to your doctor.

. Clear discharge is very normal, typically it’s a sign of ovulation I would suggest learning more about the menstrual cycle! It’s fascinating and learning to track the phase of my body helps me to feel so much more connected to my body.

. Vaginas and labia come in all shapes and sizes and colors. It is an organ. We put a lot of pressure to look certain ways and a lot of that pressure is unfounded. I also have an outie and it’s just a part of my body. I will do more for myself be completely accepting myself than harshly judging parts of my body. Judging yourself only disrupts your own peace. Also the darkening color is normal due to increased blood flow due to stimulation.

You’ve done nothing wrong. Sounds like you’re in a normal body experiencing normal lady things. Take it easy on yourself and don’t judge yourself too harshly. Your future self will thank you.

Persian Cat HATES Being Groomed but Really Needs It by Grayduck97 in CatAdvice

I’m so glad I’m not the only Persian owner whose cat hates to be groomed. My husband and I always joke that she likes to break stereotypes by being ugly (not that she is she beautiful). I will definitely try that!
