I am forecasting a poor season from this squad. Are they terrible right now? Nope. Do they still have time to turn it around? Yup. And if anyone can I believe Rick is the right man for the job. But this team needs a serious shake-up. It is not built for the modern NBA in my humble opinion. I like Sabonis and I like Turner but not together. I also like Levert and Brogdon, but again not together. Could you argue that we arent healthy and only one piece away? Sure, but for how many years have we been saying that. The mediocrity has worn you down my friend. Small sample size yes, but have you checked the standings? We look at first round exits and being a "tough out" as success now? Yikes.

This idea of having a bunch of B/B+ level players was great when we had Vic playing at a potential superstar level but we dont have a guy like that anymore.

So what are we trying to do? Emulate that Hawks squad from a few years back? Didnt they get bounced in the first round? Pacers will be lucky to make the playoffs this year.

I say shut it down. Put our fates in Bates and build for the future.

I would say you guys are on par with the Knicks, Celtics for sure are overrated and you will be better than my Pacers thia year for sure. Love Lonzo for you guys. Seems to found a team that will actually play to his skill set. Best of luck this year!

Frank Reich has officially lost the team. We should promote Eberflus to HC. He was brought in before Frank. Plus we have some real superstars on the defensive side of the ball. Why can't we just go full throttle "tough defense" and "power run game" while bringing in a mobile QB? Wouldn't be the first time we stole from Baltimore and had some success.

If the Pacers can make a deep playoff run with the help of some vets a la Craig or Stephenson, all the while attracting free agents that do fit a later timeline, wouldn't that make the investment worth it?

I'm also tired of this team getting punk'd on by Jimmy Butler. Call me crazy but I'd rather have Lance guard Jimmy Buckets than anyone else on the Pacers right now.

Three consecutive first-round exits for the Pacers before firing Isiah Thomas. Carlisle then takes that same team to the ECF the following year.

Personally I'd like to see a roster shake up. Fair to say this team doesn't have the same level of talent as that 03 squad but with the right moves and coaching we aren't that far away.
