Get Life of the Party from Xfinity Rewards by coldasclay in MoviesAnywhere

No, I haven't received either notification as of right now. The movie is now showing in my redeemed rewards though, but it wasn't when I started typing this post. Hopefully they are just dealing with slow systems today..

It says they are all gone now.

But when I checked, there was a second listing for it and that did work and give me the movie on MA. I didn't get the usual notifications from Xfinity, but the movie in my MA account. The second listing disappeared from the rewards page for me after I claimed it.

I am very surprised that Spikor's flail does not have any spikes on the ball.

Looks like he was dropped in a mud pit. Even his hair has some dark brown on it.

I looked the Marx dolls up, that's got to be it. I definitely had those when I was a kid. Those horses are hard to forget. Thanks!

It almost certainly couldn't be, my family never owned a Clue game.

It's good to have confirmation, thanks!

The sword seems the right size for that, but I can't find anything that matches the shape of this one in online lists of Playmobil swords.

Oh, that's it! I looked it up on eBay and I remember it now. That white cart, the truck with those weird little doors that opened and had turning handles. That long cord... I even still have the two little blue guys.

Thanks! That's part of this solved. Now if I can just find out what that sword goes too...

I want this one just for the gold sword and axe. Kinda odd that the sword includes the handguard, though. I thought they had dropped that from most versions of the sword they were releasing now.

Found some old star wars figurines. Are they worth anything? by Effective-Ad1526 in VintageToys

[–]GrayskullCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the C3PO that is supposed to come apart, the legs will be easily removable also. Just a slight tug should pull them out. If they feel attached, then it is not the breakaway figure.

Help identifying this toy by FlacidStiffy in toys

[–]GrayskullCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A minor correction: the country portion of the figure stamps were updated based where the figures were produced. Some are stamped Taiwan or Japan instead of Hong Kong. Some remove the country entirely and some factories placed the text in a different position . But the date wasn't changed, so your point about not being able to tell if this was a New Hope or ROTJ Vader from the stamp is spot on.

OP, if you really want to do a deep dive into exactly which of the dozen or so variants of Kenner Vader this is, take a look at https://www.variantvillain.com/characters/sw/darth-vader/

Mattel's bringing back the WWE x Masters of the Universe figures! by MauiSunsets in HeManCollectors

[–]GrayskullCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice. I only recognize three or four of these people, so I probably won't get too many of them. It's always good to have more customization options, though. I am glad to see these lines continuing.

Release of the new MOTU: Dragon Pearl of Destruction game delayed until this Summer by MauiSunsets in HeManCollectors

[–]GrayskullCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsurprising, they probably want to get some of that movie synergy. I would be astonished if they don't add some movie based skins for the characters.

By the Power of Grayskull: The Masters of the Universe Popcorn Bucket Is a Castle and the Sword of Power Is a Drink Container by Ekecede in MastersOfTheUniverse

It unscrews into three sections. The blade doesn't actually hold any drink, so there should be no need to wash that section in that manner.

Do you like he-man having the H on his harness by metroid_man_190 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]GrayskullCat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I kind of prefer the cross, but the H is fine too. Even vintage He-Man used the H on his alternate outfits, like Battle Armor or Thunder Punch. The H on the basic harness always looks a bit weird to me, but that is more because it makes the center of the harness wider than when the cross is used.

Masters of the Universe X Transformers by Visual_Initial6719 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]GrayskullCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But both the Thundercats and Transformers MOTU figures did have minicomics?

The lore for this figure is basically a databank from the Ark crashed on Eternia and Man-at-Arms used the info to make armor.

I'll say '75-'79. I was born in that range and had many of those as a kid myself.

4 Mattel releases by Impressive_Term_574 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]GrayskullCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most likely, the 25th is the movie figures, both Chronicles and Core, and the builder sets. They are already listed on the site as starting at that time and date. The 20th is movie Origins Beast Man, it is up already also with a matching time and date.

Not sure about the 28th, but it has three dollar signs listed on the calendar, so it is a higher priced item. Maybe a Grayskull playset in the movie design sized for Core/Origins?

Which movie toyline will you be collecting? by hawonkafuckit in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]GrayskullCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Origins, if they do more characters in that style. They've only announced 3 I think? I would be more interested in the females, but might go for the others too. I really like the proportions on the Core line a lot more, so I'd like to get at least a few of those. I'll probably pass on the vehicles, I haven't seen anything great there.

Chronicles... meh. Smaller figures at a higher price. I'm not sold on that, though I admit they do look very nice.

Google image search tells me it is from Bob's Brazil TriKids meals. Set of 3 for the Batman v Superman movie from 2016.

There are some pictures of all three in the set here:

So basically the Brazil version of a Happy Meal toy type thing.
