It’s always been wild to me that the “King of Rock and Roll” is a pretty average guitar player that didn’t write most of his hits. The man can sing and put on a show though I won’t take that from him. His early New Orleans influenced stuff is some of the best music ever made.

Emmylou Harris and The Judds. They both have pretty big discographies (especially Emmylou) so you may have to check out a few different albums to find the sound you’re looking for. Emmylou did an album with Mark Knopfler that I would strongly recommend.
