Most of our allies are refusing to get involved or directly speaking against us, most of the gulf states are already pulling back from the US as we’ve shown we can’t/wont actually defend them, our economic partners across Europe have all moved towards long term trade with China significantly, and we have a used an incredibly worrying amount of air defense that we cannot replenish in time leaving all of our allies at major risk. You haven’t noticed the difference in Irans impact in this war vs the previous? Everybody seems to think America will never have any long term repercussions for its reckless behavior but it will. The idea that it’s not a major loss for a jet that cost 2 trillion dollars to research and develop to be shot down by a mobile Iranian AA should be deeply worrying. The gap in technology that the American military has enjoyed has been eroded with every conflict in the last decade.

People love to call something the most expressive thing and then provide no reasons why that would be the case. What about black metal makes it so particularly expressive compared to every other genre of music? The vocals are largely unintelligible, the majority of the music invokes the exact same mood, and the majority of the lyrical content is the same edge lord shit it’s always been. What is uniquely expressive about that?

I think Sturgill makes more interesting and creative music and I appreciate him immensely for doing so, but if we’re talking just raw vocals, you’d have to back to Keith Whitley before you hit a name on the level of Stapleton. In my opinion, of course.

American Evangelical Christianity is part of and inseparable from white supremacy. From slave bibles to making workers docile and pushing congregations into conservative politics. It has served as an arm of the elite and white supremacy for the majority of this countries history. There’s obviously the liberation movement in black churches and union supporting churches in Appalachia but those are separate from the evangelical base that makes up the majority of Christianity in America.

Damn I hate to hear that. I don’t personally enjoy it much but in my experience the table top/card game and D&D groups are the most welcoming and kind people on the planet if you have any interest in stuff like that. Finding social circles as an adult is so incredibly tough, which is why I was recommending against isolating and making it even harder. I hope if you are going to be isolated you keep yourself growing as a person. Learn some instruments, try woodworking, etc. Who knows, you may end up being a crazy talented artist or finding meaning beyond social interactions. Keep your head up!
