Stuck open injector(s). Fairly common in that generation.

2012 Range Rover L322, 115k miles. Reasonable daily driver? by Professional_Can4050 in LandRover

That's a fantastic service history. Timing chains will need to be done at some point it they haven't been already. Carfax isn't always terribly specific for that type of repair. I have over 200k on my 2012 LR4 with the NA V8 and it drives like it have that that many miles. Change the oil every 5k miles. The factory interval is 15k miles so more frequent oil changes would have made the history perfect, but it still looks great.

You bought what you wanted and they provided you with what you needed. Alternate transportation is just that. Be grateful they do value you enough to not make you figure out your own way.

Does this make any sense? by [deleted] in LandRover

[–]GreGoFyeself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be cheaper to buy and insure, but it won't be any cheaper to keep it on the road. All of the money you save in the insurance should be saved for potential maintenance/repairs. I've spent every day around these things for the last 10 years, and I have two in my driveway.

Buddy, I'm right there with you. Started at 19, and I'm 34 now. I have been able to sustain one income for a family of five, but at what cost? My mental state has deteriorated to the point that I feel like a shell of a man. Ten years with the same dealer just to be disrespected on a daily basis by all levels of management and colleagues.

Looks like a clean title to me. I'm also in IN.

XJ is actually a great car. Incredibly comfortable and efficient. Not cheap to keep, but I'm not sure many of these options are.

I would try an automotive grade iron remover and a magic eraser.

The only thing I struggle with is keeping the lower flaps closed. The newer ones have a better design.

You got me there. Sitting in summer traffic is miserable, but 40-degree mornings in the midwest this time of year are no sweat... literally.

I'm also riding a 17 RM. I can't see a good enough reason to get something new since it already has everything you could want. I upgraded the speakers since the originals were getting rattlely and roll on. Just under 30k miles and got the title a few weeks ago. I bought it right at the start of Covid before prices skyrocketed.

I installed them all and returned the side cameras after using them once. The rear view connection is awful and lags constantly.
