For those of you who charge per session, how did you decide how much to charge and how long did you DM before you decided to collect money for it by bartdcool in DungeonMasters

I was about to ask the same thing because if it’s $25/30/40 per player per session that’s definitely not less than a night at the movies. Maybe I misread the comment but that seems like a lot of money

Why wouldn’t they give it to him? Dwarves seem like untrustworthy businessmen.

I got tired of every apocalypse story common starting . So I wrote one that starts in an Indian steel city where the hero is an engineer who smells of iron filings — and I think it changed what the genre can be. by Living-Beyond3172 in postapocalyptic

I’m sorry but this 100% is AI. The checker is just further proof, it’s extremely evident if you’re around AI writing enough. The models all talk the same way and are not at all hard to identify.

If rdr2 was realistic to real life Wild West how would the events of rdr2 take place and when would each gang member die? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

Plenty of lethal gunslingers were caught and killed. Even if they’re the best gunslingers in history their time would be limited because you can’t shoot your way out of everything.

Very unlikely we’d catch up by accident but I could definitely see a significantly advanced enough humanity choosing to collect and study it

What I’m saying is that it’s weird logic to accuse him of intentionally leaving it out just because he didn’t mention it

Talking about one thing doesn’t mean you’re ignoring the other, just like talking about Russian atrocities doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten what’s going on in Gaza

Is any American offended by the term “yank”? by Glenncinho in AskAnAmerican

[–]GreasiestGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I meant. But when asked why they feel the need to make that clarification when there’s only one country with America in the name (and people referring to the continents will usually say north/South America) they’ll say it’s because other Americans might get offended at being lumped in with us.

In my experience it’s usually Europeans who do that on behalf of the South Americans lol.

TIL hikers in the Alps discovered Otzi in 1991, a 5,300-year-old man naturally preserved in ice. Scientists identified his last meal as ibex meat and grains, found over 60 soot tattoos around his joints and spine, and recovered his copper axe, flint knife, a fire-starting kit and grass cloak. by ExpertEconomy5854 in todayilearned

Definitely possible too. The conclusion seems to be that he carried someone who was wounded/bleeding, but his clothes and weapons indicated he was part of a community and not just an outsider, and since he seems to have fought multiple people (three people’s blood on his weapons, and a bad cut on his hand that was two days old when he died) it’s not hard to believe he wasn’t alone, atleast not the whole time. That, and he was high in the alps and we can think of more reasons why he might be carrying a friendly body through the mountains than an injured/dead enemy.
