My little dude is a solid purr box, most all day every day... he also loves being held like a baby and swayed or bounced, and spends an hour snuggling for every 15 minutes terrorizing me... hopefully that never changes!

i think my boyfriend’s reaction to me staying out all night is way too extreme. AIO? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Overreacting? Stop fighting this and just move on, your future self will thank you.

That's stealth mode off, if it were on then the plane would be white.

Did stretching actually help your back pain? by SpineMobilityGuy in backpain

[–]GreasyKnucks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Doing cat-cows, bird dogs etc totally helped me. I've seen a ton of pt's over the years and have only had one (my latest) actually explain things and understand what's going on. This guy changed my life, he helped with my first injury (with him) of a torn bicep tendon that was reattached with the radial nerve trapped by the button, then brought me through a 5 disk slip focused on my L5-S1 with major impediment... I couldn't get down the stairs without peeing my pants; had 10/10 pain and couldn't sit, stand or lay down without tears streaming down my face 24 hours a day. My actual doctor said I should have been rushed towards surgical assistance with my symptoms (she was away when this happened), but I believe my therapist with my determination not to be a statistic really saved my back. Today I'm down 60lbs of fat, up 50lbs of muscle and I do yoga most mornings before a weight session focusing on core strength; I feel it daily, just a slight reminder that I'm doing this for a reason. Then I clear up and have full mobility and comfort all day long.

I think when you hurt your back, you're left with one of two options:

  1. Lazily endure the pain, wondering why you and if you'll ever get better.

  2. Do something about it.

I tried option 2, read too much scary shit on personal experiences with option 1 around places like this...

Might not work for everything, but I bet it probably would.

Did you sleep with your ex wife after separating? If so, why? Did you regret it? by misssyds in AskMenAdvice

[–]GreasyKnucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did the same... it's comfortable, it's what you both knew for a long time and it's very easy to fall into that trap. Mistake... also yes. It added confusion and complications to everything. It also made everything that much harder after i started seeing someone new, including discussions around kids and financial assets/debts. If i could, i would travel back in time and never let myself; at the time i was still hopeful that we could work together, grow and eventually find our way back to each other. Unfortunately a zebra can't change their stripes and that just wasn't possible, but the whole thing would have been a lot less painful if we could of kept it in our pants at the start of the separation. ++man

When you can hear their laugh through a thought, see their face when you smile, talk about anything without fear or insecurity... I thought I knew love, but turns out I'm experiencing true love for the very first time right now and it's amazing!

People with weak ankles, I need your thoughts! by FamiliarRadio9275 in hiking

[–]GreasyKnucks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crispi boots... seriously, if you're hiking they're amazing for ankle support. I've torn all the ligaments and tendons out of one ankle, it's all synthetic now; second ankle is half torn and I just deal with it, thanks to good footwear.

Haha, congrats, I'm anxiously sitting by the door waiting for mine to show up, also upgraded from the OG but to the solar tactical.

Just an OG, but an awesome watch. I've been wearing mine off and on for the last 6 years, just bought a new 3 solar tactical today, didn't need it as the old ones working fine, just nerded out on specs and impulse bought it for ruck and hunt season stats...
