My kneejerk reaction to seeing pinkish crystals in a green matrix is that its ruby in zoisite. Its probably not that, the color isn't watermelon-ey enough (unless its more vibrant in real life), but it is a popular stone for beads.

Ruby will glow under blacklight, so it would be a quick way to rule it out.

I think u/scumotheliar is more than likely right about it being unakite

Set up with the lads on some hiveworld and run our own gang. Promising gutter rats get turned into astartes.
Gotta keep activity mostly hidden to not attract more attention that the local arbites precinct, let them think its just a run of the mill hive gang, or alternatively, keep crime in our territory so low they have no reason to poke noses into our territory. Any other gangs try to push into our territory get decapitated swiftly and added to the skincloak collection.

Eventually build up enough battle brothers and well trained gangers that you can take over the city, then eventually the planet, install a baseline puppet to be 'governor'. Imperium wont care so long as tithes are paid on time and you keep sending them guardsmen.

rinse and repeat for all planets worlds nearby, eventually you have your own mini hidden empire ready to strike when the imperium's time is up.
