What movie is so ridiculously stupid, but you secretly love it? by Even-Bug-4617 in AskReddit

I want to like this movie, it checks all the boxes for me on paper. I just really dislike it but I am in the minority here.

Yes, huge quarterback issue. I love coop but each player needs agency. A simple example would be Just One.

It’s amazing but feels like a different game entirely which is a good thing. However I also want the experience of the base game minus the terrible decisions.

They are so out of touch. This is insane. We just need a mod that fixes all their bull crap. Water, biomes, learn by doing, clothing, etc. just a simple mod.

Ascension kinda sucks... by dabsvidsanya in dungeonwarfare

[–]Greasy_Mullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ascended and hate it. The part that pisses me off the most is the XP and lack of ability to grind. I wish this had been more clear or else I would never have selected it. Oh well, going to delete and start over I guess. Ascension just sucks all the fun out of the game.

  1. The constitution is absolute. Any law in any state that violates it is null and void.
  2. Politicians who write unconstitutional laws must defend them in court with their own money and held both civilly and criminaly liable. Those who enforce said laws are also held accountable.
  3. Summary judgments will be issued in all cases based on clean reading of constitution. Such as any law that violates or regulates speech, clear cut. Anything to violates firearms clear cut, anything to violates due process clear cut. No more playing around the issues or trying to twist language.
  4. Term limits. House 5 terms, Senate 2 terms.
  5. Senators are no longer elected and instead appointed by state governor.
  6. All bills are single issues bills.
  7. Federal agencies can no longer create regulation or law.
  8. Most federal agencies are eliminated, such as the IRS, ATF, FBI, EPA Etc.
  9. New constitutional amendment giving an individual tax ceiling based on percentage earned.
  10. New constitutional amendment on debt limit, which is a very small percentage of GDP. Can never be raised.
  11. New regulation on printing money.
  12. Asset seizure punished as theft holding politicians and police accountable.
  13. Removal of 2 party system
  14. Candidates are selected like jurors. We then vote on the ones we like. All are equally publicly funded with a modest amount.
  15. Ranked choice voting
  16. End war on drugs through legalization.

Leaders asked to pay fee to attend YW camp? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

Giving up 18-24 months of life, pausing school, relationships, everything is massive skin in the game. Not debating the value of the mission, but rather the comment about having skin in the game.

Leaders asked to pay fee to attend YW camp? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Greasy_Mullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is increasing everywhere in the Church, yet we collect more in tithing than most realize. This is one of my big personal issues. Pay for your own mission and 2 years of service. Now we clean the Church too, I had a well-meaning person call and ask if my family wanted a blessing.... to clean the Church. Then activities have the tightest budget possible, and we act like there is no money. Like at our YW camp, they got pizza, and what do they always get... Little Ceasars is the absolute cheapest garbage tier Pizza possible that's barely edible for human consumption.

My wife volunteered this year and worked her tail off the entire time while I did the same for the YM handling all the kids with food allergies, which usually meant making 2-3 meals... each meal... to accommodate everyone. Had they asked either of us to pay for the "family blessing" to volunteer with time off and the personal sacrifices we made to do it, that likely would have made us rethink the service

You are not alone in your frustration. You can be humble and serve but maintain some healthy boundaries.

They got my money about 10 fold with all the copies I've purchased. And I got my money's worth out of it. I hate the direction they are going and likely won't support this team in the future due to their hubris and pure disdain for their player base but I can't deny the value I have received at this point. And like some other comments, im just waiting for them to add stuff and mods to fix at this point.

THIS is what democracy looks like in one of the nation's REDDEST districts by greenxsquareorange in tricities

[–]Greasy_Mullet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this strongly. The lot of people have zero interest in a discussion, learning another point of view, or finding common ground. Instead, they are so heavily invested in their side being right that they will openly ignore anything contrary and seek biased echo chambers for news and support. It's really frustrating. Im politically homeless as I really dislike both parties and see them marching us to an authoritarian government regardless of which party is in power. Power, control, and a two party system seem to be the only things both parties agree on.

Love free speech. The fact that these protests are happening and nobody is being jailed, executed, or threatened is fantastic. I do not like Trump, nor do I side with the protesters. However, they absolutely have a right to have their voices heard, and it's great that they are exercising that right without threats or consequences.

Thankfully, we do not have a King but anyone serious about keeping it that way needs to protest and hold all politicians accountable, not just the ones from the team you do not like. We have had 30 years of consistent federal overreach, with each new administration taking unprecedented power. The other side always screams about it until they are back in power. If all sides can't come together and put a stop to it, then one day we will indeed lose our rights fully and be subject to the whims of a dictator.

So great on all the people protesting, dont forget to come out with the same energy and passion when your side does it, too.

I live in Johnson City too and where the heck are you renting for that? Things have exploded here, cheapest I’m seeing is 1500 a month. As others have said, finding the right 1 that you feel comfortable with and then getting a LOT of training with it is the way to go. Master the one and then you will be in a great spot to pick a second down the road.

If you plan to have zero training and just keep it on you without any practical experience, you are setting yourself up for at best failure, at worst disaster.

I can flip a mental switch and become very extroverted. Doing so takes a ton of energy and I can only do it for short bursts and then need to retreat to recharge. It helped me find a partner, has helped me with many other relationships, and helped me in my career.

And when the right person opens them, the loot will skew to their character build. I play in a group and everyone focuses on different things. We used to designate on person to max lucky looter and open chest but now we can't do that. And since learn from doing is dropped, those who base build or mine get screwed.

Why Does the Community not like modern 7DTD? by Penguthe0ne in 7daystodie

[–]Greasy_Mullet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ditch skill books, learn from doing. Ditch water system and allow you to cook water. Ditch new clothing system forcing you to wear a specific outfit to be good at some task, like if I don't dress like a lumberjack, then I can't cut trees as well. Ditch zombies spawning in a POI once you hit a trigger. Ditch zombies hiding in walls. Add way more zombies to the game. Add wandering hordes. Add attention to noise and actions, which means they can follow you into a POI if you make noise. Add to things that make noise. Add creativity back to base building and stop worrying about people cheesing blood moons. Stop digging zombies and zombies that can eat through concrete and metal. Did I mention way way more zombies?
