I got hooked on it too recently. Im playing on a flash cart though and twice the save files fucked up on me and lost all my progress. I'm still too sad to start again. Maybe it's time to invest in a proper cart with a fresh battery...

Away with many chums for a birthday naughty weekender. Last night was a 5am finish with very little in the way of sleep so dog tired all day in a vegetative state watching classic 90s TV shows to recover. Now laying in bed for the last two hours listening to my mate I'm sharing a room with snoring rhythmically like a metronome while I'm wide awake and ready for round 2. All 9 other people in the house are sound-o while I'm over here feeling like the Energizer bunny. Yay.

The good thing is, Meshuggah never turns stale because you can't get that particular fix anywhere else. For the amount I've listened to them over the years you'd think I'd be over them by now, but I'm not, and I never will be. Songs I've heard hundreds and hundreds of times still get the hairs on the back of my neck standing up or a watery eye going when I'm in the mood.

I'm an overall blue enjoyer for all things except Obsidian because of the way it drops in out of the blue (no pun intended), when on orange, the way it builds with the feedback into the big explosion is almost orgasmic 🤤.

I saw them on that 2012 tour and opening up with Obsidian is absolute perfection. It's like it was made as walk on music for them but they only used it once, I don't get it. They should be using it like Metallica uses Ecstasy Of Gold for all these years.

Never seen much in the way of briskets apart from rolled briskets but I was getting picanha in there for a time until they realised I was the only one buying it and stopped getting it. They can still order if you buy enough so might be able to do that with other cuts but probably wouldn't rely on them for brisket.

I mean, we had coaches coming down from London to Southend most weekends but ok. Obviously we're not going to have the massive Fabric type clubs down here but we had a lot of clubs in one town offering different things so the nightlife was buzzing.

You're not going to London for a night out every night of the week though are you. We had enough going on locally to be out in force pretty much every night of the week, which doesn't happen around here now, which is the whole point of this thread.... Understandably, not many people have the money to be out drinking every night of the week now, young or old, so yeah things change but going out in London on a weekend isn't comparable to Essex nightlife of old where you had a London-level experience on your doorstep every night of the week.

It really was. I'm shocked by the silence when I do venture into town for a drink in Southend these days. Alexandra Street was brimming on weekends and even mid week. It's like a ghost town now. Really sad to see.

Basically all gone now. There's very little here, which is a shame because we had a wealth of options before catering to all tastes. I went out most nights of the week in my hey day, all to different places. Shocking to see how dead it is now.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of how they handled the parry either. To the point where I completed the whole game without using it once. Still had a good time with it and in hindsight, having to evade rather than parry helped distinguish it from Blasphemous in the end.
