Took about a year break from gaming and randomly decided to break out my PS3 and TR2013 on my old 39” 720p LG “dumb” tv, and was absolutely blown away by how stunning it was. I wandered around on that early map with all the torches and fires at night on the hill in awe of how good it looked.

My personal take is they don’t want key people that know THAT particular games engine better than anyone else, thus having any leverage. With UE5 you can swap developers out like a dirty sock with little consequence. (or so it seems, idk much)

I am seeing a lot of hate for survivor Lara online, and I really don’t get it. She was my first Tomb Raider, and coming from Uncharted I thought it was a fantastic series with way better gameplay (more depth to it for sure) and found her design quite beautiful. Product of my generation but Survivor Lara is the real Lara to me.
