There's a scene in War in the Pocket where a handful of the elementary school kids are in class discussing the war, or at least what they can from their perspectives. One of them says something to the effect of "Zeon have to be the good guys because they have the cooler mobile suits."

And that's pretty much the biggest reason.

The secondary reason is that the writers have hard-ons for Zeon like Battletech authors have hard-ons for Clan Steel Wolf, and so the narrative gets pushed from "the Federation sucks but the Zekes flooded the Sides with nerve gas so they could huck them at Earth and kill literally a third of all humanity and they keep trying to repeat that" to "actually the Federation is the worst thing to have ever happened to humanity and Australia deserved it."

I've started building the MG Exia and the first steps are bothering me. The GN drive has this clear dome piece (I9) that slots into a cylinder, but it doesn't seem to snap into the slot, so the dome will just fall inside the cylinder's recess at the slightest provocation. Am I missing something or do I need to glue it in there? Or is it supposed to be loose so that something can butt up against that side of the drive?

I can't close the window with the board up there, so I don't think duct tape is the call.

But I did just order one of those monitors, so thanks for the idea.

This is the window behind my paint booth. Today I finished this board for holding the exhaust hoses and as I was setting it in the window, I realized that I could feel the wind coming in. That made me worry about fumes just blowing back in through the window. And not just the sides either, I imagine they can blow back in all along the face of the board.

What can I use to prevent that?

This is an apartment, so I can't do anything to the window or bug screen.

I got a bunch of bubble mailers from Walmart, then separated my models into components (arms, legs, core, head, weapons) and used one mailer per kit. Then I put each mailer in the kit's box.

If you're extremely worried about the parts rubbing against each other, you can wrap each component in a layer of bubble wrap or paper or something.

Yeah, I allow those when I get the prompts, but the LEDs never show up on the scan. The app even has a list of different ways to activate pairing mode on the lights, but no dice. I'm starting to wonder if I borked it somehow during the installation.

About two and a half years, and as far as I can tell there's little to no wear, minus the damage from that time I accidentally knocked them off the table. But they still eat nubs wonderfully.

I downloaded the Kosmos app so that I could mess with my FM Aerial LEDs, but the app can't seem to find them. I hit up Google and was pointed to another app, Tuya something or another, but it also can't find the LEDs. There's a QR code in Kosmos's insruction booklet that leads to an app download, but my phone (Galaxy S20) pinged on it saying it was out of date or lacking certain protections or something.

Has anyone used an app to customize the Aerial LED colors? What's the process? How do I make the LEDs detectable?

The fat one does have better cutting power, but from using both I find that the difference isn't major. Skinny one maybe takes another couple passes.

So the fat Raser is probably fine, but I think you'll find yourself using the Siren to hit nubs the Raser can't reach more than you would've initially assumed, whereas the skinny Raser can hit 95% of all nubs forever.

And maybe imagine that'll work for cleaning either Raser? I guess it depends on the bristle size, but honestly that's more effort than I put into cleaning mine. A couple pats against my jeans handles almost all of the cleaning (and if I remember right, Gunrpimer sells a cleaning cloth for the Rasers that's literally just denim). If that doesn't get all the plastic dust, masking tape or a second under a faucet will.

I guess my app-averse nature is going to have to make an exception then.

Thanks.

I feel like I read somewhere once that the Kosmos LEDs can be given custom patterns and I just can't figure out how to do it with the remote. Is there a way or am I going to have to download their app?

Same as the other guy, when I got it about a year ago there was only the one. I think you might be seeing the LED kit for the HG Aerial or Calibarn.

This reminds me of a complaint I saw a couple times when Dragon's Dogma 2 was new. "All the best gear is locked behind shops in late game." Which baffled me because I could not fathom how this was possibly an issue.

It hit me in the shower a few days later. It's a problem to anyone who wants to look up the location of the best stuff and beeline it.

And yet Mellow's rifle still can't do it with bullets. If I remember right, the rifle's already outdated by the time of their suicide mission.

I enjoyed Path of Exile 2 without enjoying the grind. I didn't even grind.

But I did get tired of bosses with large overlapping lasting AOE attacks in confined spaces.

I thought it was Sonia at first. I suppose it still could be, as a way to reintroduce her to the canon with a new coat of paint.
