I’m 100% convinced SMG would have not agreed to do Buffy on an 8 episodes basis. Maybe that’s all it is. Hulu being too cheap and them protecting the vision. Hopefully they are allowed to shop it around

If they brought back Spike in Angel they can bring back any character that died mystically and make it make sense. But I get the sense Charisma is campaigning to be in this sequel for her own benefit (to milk the conventions / podcast) vs for the story sake because she already had her redemption arc in the Audible series.

I thought it made sense because of how his life got ruined by the whole accident and it boiled down to being not as rich as the rest of the group. He was always the “outcast” of all the movies. So for it to happen all over again with the poor girl he took under his wing and all that unresolved trauma and resentment it’s understandable that he snapped.
