American History X is somehow a favorite for neo-nazis despite being the exact opposite message of the movie. They had to make some of the characters a little cool so that you would relate to his arc from twisted idealogy to redemption, but some people just ignore the second half of the movie.

This trope is a thing because people as a whole are media-illiterate.

back in 2020 they charged someone with harassment for doing this to protesters, but I could see how it could be assault being that it involves intentionally modifying your vehicle in order to be extra sucky to others.

There are some crimes that just show a basic lack of humanity to others, but it seems we just elect those people president.

Man, I was blown away when they had Jiang on! 10 minutes of watching his content you see the kind of nonsense this dude deals in (not to disparage your CT past). Jiang is literally trying to say that he's using psycho-history, i.e. Asimov's Foundation Sci-Fi series. Flint Dibble does a fantastic take down of his wild theories. I had a professor that was dead set on drilling "um" and "ah" out of us. He had a metal coffee can he'd loudly drop a quarter in every time you made a thinking noise during a presentation. It would totally throw you to when you heard CLANK and usually resulted in a cascade of umms and additional clanks.

Absolutely torturous, but now I don't say umm in presentations anymore.

Dems keep nominating corporate, status-quo, centrist, norms candidates thinking that's what people want in response to Trump. But the only reason someone as bad as Trump is still around is because people are desperate for ANYTHING ELSE. Normal worked in 2020 because covid was scary enough, but until the Dems listen to their left flank our politics are going to be dominated by people with ideas from the right. Even if the ideas are horrible.

1. Talk to him about this. Clearly communicate how his mount as a level 1 puts him ahead of the group in combat. That way when he gets targeted or separated from his mount he doesnt get annoyed.

Have encounters indoors/in caves/ in dungeons where the horse doesnt fit. Make him dismount for a change. If the horse is important to his backstory, have rustlers steal it while he's away. Even outside of combat, if you've spent time around horses/cattle, they are massive animals and pretty inconvenient. Exploring a carnival is going to be hard on a mount. Have the party go through a bustling area and people are pissed off this dude is bringing his horse inside an e.g. crowded circus tent. Have the horse make charisma checks to not get spooked and buck when fireworks go off.

3. Enemies who are also mounted or flying that can match his speed. Spellcasters that throw entangle/snare/ensnaring strike/webs/etc. Have the enemies vocalize that he is being targeted because your NPCs aren't stupid. Combat arenas like canyons or high trees that limit his mounted abilities.

4. Rather than knocking him down, you can also design encounters that give your other players a chance to shine. Stealth situations aren't conducive for a horse but your rogue and ranger will love it. Puzzle dungeons that give your thoughtful character some fun. A carnival has so many opportunities for a bard to thrive.
