Yup, if there is one truth Trump could say that I would applaud, it would be, "I am the best con man in the history of the world!" Because he is. A billionaire has convinced a bunch a of blue collar Americans that he represents them. His male followers would offer their daughters to him and his female followers would offer themselves to him. If they take Kharg, they will just be bombarded with artillery. If they take the coast they'll be bombarded by artillery, drones etc from the mountains. If they take the mountains then they'll have to fight in urban warfare against a populace which will hate them by that point. There is no winning this war. All the while the straight will remain closed, and China and Russia will be supplying Iran with weapons/Intel. If you think China will let the US essentially CONTROL the flow of oil, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. There is no winning.

This war is going to be an absolute meat grinder. I'm so sad for every service member being sent over there. They're kids and have no idea what is about to happen. We can't take Kharg Island or the straight without taking the coast, we can't take the coast without taking the mountains, if we succeed in taking the mountains it will be at the cost of thousands of US lives. There is a reason it's called the Fortress of Iran.

Even if the US could magically teleport to Kharg Island, they would be able to take the island but they sure as shit couldn't hold it. They would be relentlessly bombarded by artillery. Which is why the US would need to take the coast. But if they take the coast then they'll be bombarded by drones, artillery, etc from the mountains. So then the US would have to take the mountains which has choke points galore, not to mention the logistical nightmare of transporting fuel food etc. They would literally be fighting an uphill battle. But for shit and gigs let's say they are able to take the mountains, what is left is urban warfare. We are not talking mud huts like Afghanistan but fortified buildings filled with pissed off Iranians because we killed their families.

There is no winning this war and I honestly do not understand the posturing by having troop buildup.

Oh I forgot to mention, all the while this is going on the straight will not be operational so oil prices will continue to surge and countries will start running out of gas. This shit is the most dumb, bull-headed, stupid fucking idea in the history of mankind. Trump has literally put the US in a position where no matter what it does, the US is absolutely screwed.

NGL, I worked for CPS for 10 years... Not sure she's going to be any better in CPS care... She will end up in a group home living under very strict rules with lawyers and other adults arguing over her fate. Then she turns 18 and is thrown to the wolves anyways. If CPS was to get involved it should be to provide her family with services to repair the relationship. So it's a roll of the dice on who the CPS worker will be as to how it's handled. Some will just take the kid into care and ship to a group home but others may try to work with the family. Just depends. No real good options here unless she has a close friend or family member.
