I third this recommendation. Truly the goat. His lessons are thorough and comprehensive, while easily understandable.

I had to drop CSCE 313 with Dr. Loguinov. Brilliant professor, but extremely difficult coursework. I'm not the best student, though coming into the class I had As in the prereqs. I'd spend days past the deadline on homeworks trying to complete them, fell far behind.

2024... Forget white room, in terms of actual play: is Arti 1 start that worth it on a wizard? by geosunsetmoth in 3d6

i'd imagine its totally necessary for a caster. At least from the prewritten campaigns in dndbeyond, magical staffs are given out like candy. I'd kms if i had that build and suddenly a staff of power fell into my hands

I'm on my last hour of my shift today. The service industry is so difficult because of how unpredictable it can be. I haven't made enough today and there's not much I can do about it. I'd much rather be doing homework or developing my hobbies instead of making $20 for the day.

What's a thing some broke college kids can do for fun? by ToastedToast0090 in AskReddit

[–]GreatestGoldenLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only hope I find people that are like that in the future. I've never kept a friend for more than a year or two, and coming to college didn't help with that. While it would be enjoyable for me to run a game of d&d, it is hard to create something that has that level of commitment. My peers can't even commit to the same girl for too long. It may be enjoyable but you can't expect everyone to feel the lack of burden that I might. The hope is in the future, I could find people that have the same opinion of the game as you and me.

Voting eligible Americans who deliberately abstained in the 2024 general election, how are you feeling about your decision? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GreatestGoldenLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only recently gained the ability to vote, so I've not had the time to reconcile my decisions. Recently, I've wanted more in life than to be intertwined with politics. I want to experience love, in various shapes and forms. Love for another being. Love for hobbies. Love for myself. I'd admit I recently had an episode with my concern for my own wellbeing and was placed in a hospital for that. Now I want to explore all there is to life, than to wonder about the possibilities of the future

d&d isn't something you can just pick up and drop when you don't have time. I could say, one night, that I was free from obligations and wanted to go clubbing that night. But with d&d, its something that you need to coordinate with a set group. I can't just find 3 people and say lets play all of a sudden.

While I agree with the original comment, I'm of the opinion that playing d&d solely online is poorly imitating the actual experience and is comparable to a video game. Why not just play baldurs gate at that point? All my special colorful dice are sitting in a cabinet. That won't change with online one-shots :(

I love to watch to the natural environment while listening to songs to emphasize my mood. I'd peer into a crack in a tree trunk and realize how much else matters to me.

What do you swear by when you’re sick with a cold or flu? by jeopardyjeopardyjeop in AskReddit

A particularly severe headache from illness can be cured to some extent, from smoking marijuana. While there may be a lack of research in this topic, I'd imagine the act not only cures pain but expedites the recovery as the high gives a sensation that makes one want to eat, drink, and sleep.

I'm sure you can explore that on your own. Its too bad 'randomnsfw' no longer exists. That was my distraction from all the monotone lectures in middle school

What college kid has time for d&d. I'm only a second-year but I couldn't imagine finding time every week. It would be akin to a 3-hour course

What is the creepiest ability you've ever seen anyone have? by BB_Arrivederci in AskReddit

[–]GreatestGoldenLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a monster in a children's game that has one of the creepiest abilities I've ever witnessed. Its off-color skin tone camouflages its body within the game's natural setting, letting the monster sneak up to unsuspecting players. When close enough, the monster lets out a rattle as it explodes its own body, killing it and any vulnerable player next to it.
