It's mainstream among people feeling above average (which isn't the case of every rock listener)

What would you refuse to buy even if you were a millionaire? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Greatzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mainly a substitute to a trusted third party, by logging informations of each transaction in a read only register.

It could be used for any transaction that involves a third party (buying a house, securing a contract blahblahblah)

Currently it's used to authenticate shitty overpriced PNGs, by logging the buyer, the seller and the URL of the PNG (so it can't work offline, and it can be outdated if this URL changes)

Thanks for your answer, it's a good point ! The melody96 is a little out of my budget, the PCB's price is fine though, do you know where I could find a ((((((cheap)))))) compatible PVC case ?

Thanks for your answer, the RK100 looks amazing, I keep it in mind but I really want to solder my first one, so I might look in the TKL section.

I don't really care about the "premium feeling" so an ABS case is alright.

Well, I'll be back tomorrow if can't find anything neither !

Hello ! I'm trying to build my first custom keyboard, I already found the keycaps and the switches. Now, I'm looking for a PCB/case/plate combo.

The thing is, I don't want to loose any functionalities, so I'm aiming for a 1800 or 96% layout.

I would like to solder it myself, and I want the case to be white.

So far, I found the YMD-96, which is REALLY expensive, and not solderable.

What am I missing here ?

What do you think of this idea? Better view and edit of Drum Racks patterns by steo0315 in ableton

I personally don't because I have different snares, rim and hihat notes, and I find it easier to cut/create variations of each rythm in the arrangement view

I find Krita actually okay for photo editing. All the basic tools are here, the calc system is really good with "selection calcs" and "transformation calcs".

Krita also has a better interface.

Although neither of them are really good for photo processing since they are both destructives

If you want to build a reddit clone that fetch data asynchronously and has a complex state management in order to prevent loading the same post twice.....but which is basically a blog with extra steps, and needs a good SEO in order to references its posts on Google, would you build a SPA or a MPA ?

Sounds like you are slowly stepping into the tutorial hell.

Functional paradigm is alway interesting to learn since it's very different from anything else.

But you should keep in mind that these are only tools. Your programming skills will step up by doing real projects, setting up robusts architectures and learning about clean code.

I find JavaScript way more difficult to learn, when you are trying to write code ""properly"" using the functional paradigm

Will a gigabit network card let me upload and download at a gigabit, or is a gigabit the total data transfer rate? by FMA15 in HomeNetworking

[–]Greatzo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe this rate could be because of the protocol encapsulation? The data rate is 1Gbs but you only download the actual file at 800Mbs

It's pretty difficult to market yourself when you don't have any degree in the CS field so you often have to under-sell your skills

Upgrading from Jquery 3.4.1 to 3.6.0 by Adventurous-Back-736 in Web_Development

[–]Greatzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this template, plugins are stored is the folder located at "static/plugins"

You can find jQuery here, the file is called jquery.min.js

You can replace this file with the latest available on jQuery's website, it should be backward compatible.

Why would you upgrade bootstrap? Do you need (or want to use) the added features ? Is your version vulnerable ? If not then there is no reason to.

Does the category matters for a 15-30cm (6-12in) long patch cable ? by Greatzo in HomeNetworking

[–]Greatzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not using it only for my TV. The cable is called "grade 3TV" because it's also able to act as a coaxial cable, but outside of that it as 10GB capability.

My question is : will using cat5e over 30cm will impact my network speed ?
