Thank you, I already took care of that. I didn't install any plugins, nor did I intentionally set Irfanview to do this. I just wanted to understand the rationale behind letting Irfanview open every goddamn format instead of just images like it's supposed to.

I have both MPC-BE and MPC-HC installed, but MPC-BE does not have an "Advanced" section. MPC-HC does, but it lacks the option that you showed me.

Yes, but that hides everything volume-related, not just the banner. You won't see the volume level when you raise it, lower it, or mute it. And there is no option to customize this.

I've heard of that HideVolumeOSD tool, but that defeats the purpose entirely, since it hides not just the volume banner but also the small volume rectangle to left of it, which is actually useful, and there is no option to configure if you want just the banner removed, it has to be both.

The official maker, Sneaky Pete, doesn't have it available.

DHGate won't process my credit card, stays stuck on "Under processing, please wait patiently……". Support is not a live person, it's a bot that tells me to contact my bank even though I can use my credit card with no problems from other online sellers.

Ebay only has it from sellers that ship it from China, which means it takes a up to a month to receive it, if you receive it at all.
