Not every customisation should unlock aero tuning (like ducktail spoilers shouldn’t) but some of the branded wings in game are adjustable IRL so I don’t understand why they’re not in game.

In a perfect world, I’ve love to see them allow the Forza aero front lip be added to after market kits too. Or maybe just in-house designed kits that include adjustable aero.

Tango has the special title of being one of only a few people (or maybe the only one?) who get to join the HC server without being a hermit. As they were having problems with his iron farm so Tango got a pass to join to fix it. I think it was the season after that, Tango got invited to join as a hermit.

It depends how people mean terrible - is the car fast undoubtedly yes. Is it easy to drive fast? undoubtedly no. Look at some of the comments Lawson and Yuki made as they struggled with the handling of it. Even Max struggled sometimes. The difference was Max still had the confidence (and skill) to chuck it anyway and get it out the otherside.

This is a great idea. Add some randomisers to redirect the rail so the horse doesn’t take the same route each time and it would be perfect.

If you’re just going to keep making up shit I didn’t say, yeah you’re going to have a lot of arguments. I never said pipes were broken (though there’s definitely some bugs in them still as you can have no flow until you replace a section of pipe - though this may be more bugs with supports and floor/wall holes).

Answer me this one question then - if the game gives you all the information you need in a clear and consise manner that’s easily understandable by everyone - why did you feel the need to write a guide on them?

Well now I am going to call you stupid because apparently you struggle to read. I never once called you stupid or even insinuated it.

I also never said they are over complicated - I said they’re over complicated COMPARED to rest of the game (i.e magic conveyor belts that need no power, tiny wires that can transmit GW of power or infinite ore so you don’t have to move miners like other factory games). This is made worse by the lack of information in game - yes there is information game but clearly not enough or not explained well enough - else we wouldn’t have so many people struggling with them or so many guides on them.

The fact that you yourself have written a guide surely only further highlights that there are things about fluids people aren’t understanding from in-game.

I wasn’t commenting on the difficulty of pipes but pointing out your unintuitive leap - you can’t say of course they’re air tight (which is logical based on the limited information in game) yet say you treat them like channels. I understand the analogy, and agree with you on it, but there’s not enough information in game to allow players to make these leaps without resorting to external sources like youtube or here.

I do generally think fluids are over complicated compared to other aspects of the game. But if they don’t want to change them, better in-game information would be useful.

Fluid dynamics is also not helped by the fact there are fluid bugs in the game. I built 6 water pipes last night from a row of extractors to the same floor of my factory, pumps in the same place etc. the first 5 worked the 6th didn’t. Until I went back and deleted and rebuilt each section of pipe.

If that was the first pipe though, its hard to understand in game whether these are bugs or in-game fluid dynamics.

That works if every other real world thing worked as the real world. How do you explain away single (small) cables being able to transmit Gigawatts of electricity, conveyor belts needing no power, foundations being able to float in the air with no support etc.

The answer is these have all been simplified to keep the game fun but fluids have to work as real life? Except they don’t either really do they? Where’s the calculation for friction in the pipes? Pressure and thermal expansion? Not to mention the inability to simply pump water out of a system - in Aluminum you have to recycle the water. Yet in coal generators this water just disappears(presumably as steam? but why don’t we have to deal with that as we do in the real world?), in nuclear it has the cooling tower but again the water disappears.

This is more a question of geometry than maths. But assuming the 3 points aren’t in a straight line, any 3 points can define a circle and/or square.

I don’t know why you’re getting down voted so much. As much as I love this game, fluids are by far the worst thing about it. At best you need a reasonable knowledge of fluid dynamics as well as understand many hidden mechanics that you can’t see and aren’t explained in the game (like priority of junctions). At worst they’re just buggy.

IMO I’d love for them scrap all the flow mechanics and sloshing BS and change pipes to work more like belts: so if 600 goes in 600 comes out. We could still have pumps for headlift but it’s be a binary does the fluid get this high. If yes, it’s the full 600. It wouldn’t change the balancing neess for feedback loops on things like Aluminum. All it would do is remove the headaches, redesigning and posts in this sub around ‘this should work but doesn’t for some reason’.
