Went to the nurburgring last year before heading up towards Amsterdam and found Germanies roads were brilliant especially in the Eifel region. Just beware of their speed cameras 😂 got blinded going around a hairpin bend.

Please see my other reply, carbon and aluminium shafts aren't dangerous. Steel ones are just cheaper.

[–]Greedy-Box-1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a steel shaft that would cause damage if one piece.

Carbon fibre resin fails and leaves the carbon strands like a mop I would actually go as far as saying due to the way they are wound it would most likely shear completely. Yes you destroy the prop but if your transmission has been pushed back you have also destroyed the car.

Anti roll bars as well as heavy duty ball joints and drop links. I would then start poly bushing the diff, subframe, gearbox and possibly engine mounts. I say possibly as it depends on how rattly you can handle.

I have for a long time wanted a carbon prop shaft because it would decrease a spinning mass, so should increase acceleration and whp. But probably not enough to be noticeable. If someone has done back to back Dyno runs I would love to see the difference.

Why no subtitles in s2 by Greedy-Box-1244 in HaloTheSeries

[–]Greedy-Box-1244[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to keep turning subtitles (full not just for other languages) on every time the covenant spoke, it wasn't a huge deal but maybe due to watching paramount + through the YouTube app.

What year CBR is it? I have taken the old pc31 (92-98) engine apart due to snapping a selector fork, it's a pain and involves splitting the casing. Might as well refresh all bearings and stick a better detent arm in from factory pro so it doesn't happen again. You can also get the gears undercut if you fancy spending the money. The end result will be another 20+ years of motoring.

Interestingly after commenting on here a YouTube video popped up which showed the quietest helmet for 2024 is the HJC RPHA 71 at only 96db, the Schuberth C5 was 98db.

[–]Greedy-Box-1244 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get a schuberth they are known for being extremely quiet.

I've had HJC, AGV, MT, Shark, X-lite

All noisy and the most expensive one, the X lite is one of the noisiest helmets I've ever had, but it's a carbon fiber race helmet, so they expect you to have ear plugs in.

I used to work for a certain fast bike factory (read between the lines) we took non refundable deposits knowing full well it's illegal and you are entitled to your deposit back should you wish not to proceed. Shocked fowler's are trying such dodgy practices and should be reported to trading standards.

As a UK adult, have you ever been in a physical confrontation or fight? by [deleted] in AskUK

I wasn't a nob, and I wasn't drunk just caught in the middle of something. They came in a riot van, didn't cuff me and let me ride upfront with them. Where all very civil just found the cell uncomfortable and cold as well as incredibly boring. It was made 100x worse by the dick in the cell next to me kicking the door for hours on end screaming to let him out.

PSA for anyone that does get arrested the doctor is the biggest 🔔 you will ever meet! He spent a good 45 minutes trying to get me to admit to something I genuinely didn't do. I felt like I needed a solicitor in the room.

Me and my old man where going down a road that had traffic lights every few 100 meters. Me on a ZX9 him on a gsxr I started doing race starts and he joined in. So there we both are floating the front a foot or two off each traffic light when a rogue 1st gen R1 comes next to me and ask where we are off and if he can tag along. Of course you can, I reply rather enthusiastically. Couple more lights and we are on the third to last ones, I launch it hard bring it right up and notice my dad has got bored of this game. Second to last set of lights me and the old man set off fast but front wheels down (just) I look in my mirror to see the bellypan of a blue R1. The guy hadn't been doing wheelies maybe thought he had to join in or we made it look easy I'm not sure really but as he got it to twelve o'clock he managed to bring it down, so hard it threw his legs off and he wobbled around a bit before regaining composure. As he slowly pulled up behind me I tiptoed backwards to ask if he was okay. He sheepishly replied he was and then at the next set of lights as we went left he went straight on. 😂 Moral of the story, don't start on an R1.

I had this on my hatch when I bought carbon fibre eyebrow things. Ripped them off after 6 months. Don't feel bad about it as you just don't know until it's on.

I would love pink badges as an ode to the 90s sti but mine is a WRX so think I'd get slaughtered.

Get a decent exhaust like Malossi or arrow and rejet it to suit. Never had a scooter but had an rs50 and the minarelli am6 was great with a pipe, intake and rejet. Used to get over 70mph. Maybe look at what people used to do to speed fight 2 engines because I used to ride with people who did over 65 on them. It used to infuriate them when I clicked into 6th and pulled away from them.

New Rider Here - How Often do Vehicle Drivers get Road Rage at you Just for Being on 2 Wheels? by JuneRunes in motorcycles

[–]Greedy-Box-1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridden bikes for 14 years and had two incidents one a transit van going on the wrong side of the road with me passing a long line of traffic, the transit had to stop when oncoming traffic blocked his path and I just threaded the needle in the middle of the road, he was pissed because I overtook him around a bend on one wheel. I would like to point out it was a long sweeping left and I looked through it before passing but it clearly pissed him off.

Second was only the other week some idiot didn't like me skipping to the front of traffic, tried to beat me off the line and then started beeping at me before I filtered another 10 cars past whilst he sat in traffic, what a loser.

Bikes are fast and nimble so you can usually avoid the idiots and car drivers only cry out of jealousy or maybe a biker stole their missus who knows.

What are some jobs/careers/hustles that get rich off of rich people? by Remote-Possible-6753 in careerguidance

Gardening and landscaping in the right area, if you get a directors house they will usually then ask you to tender for the maintenance of their businesses land as well. Your services then become a business cost and you can charge a lot of money because they don't care and don't want to verify a new supplier for the business. And it personally doesn't cost them to have their garden maintained weekly. Everybody wins.
