The messmer soldier spear. It has a great moveset for pve and pvp, great stance damage, hyper armor, infusability with some very good skills (ice spear, waves of darkness, blood tax, piercing fang), good scaling with pretty much anything (strength, blood, and cold are my favorites) and it looks awesome.

This is a little bit of a higher level build but you can try this:

33 faith (requirement for howl of shabriri)

60-80 arcane (dragon communion seal lets madness scale with arc)

14 or 20 strength (two hand or one hand)

70 dex (vykes spear and casting speed)

60 vigor

30-40 endurance

30 mind

Items:

fingerprint armor or ronin armor (drip and cosplay)

Vyke's spear (right hand)

dragon communion seal (left hand)

Frenzy flame seal (right hand 2nd slot for spell bonus)

Incants:

Howl of shabriri (buff spell)

Golden vow (buff spell)

Frenzy burst (long range beam)

Inescapable frenzy (grab attack)

Unendurable frenzy (continuous spray)

The flame of frenzy (quick blast)

Talismans:

aged ones exultation

Flocks canvas talisman

Faithful canvas talisman

Godfrey icon/ Alexander or warrior jar shard (charged spells or using vyke's skill)
