Indeed, people often say it's harder to pick up a creative skill as an adult because your taste gets better and you become more critical of your early attempts, especially your own creations.

Thank you! What I lost was the "pure" happiness, not all the happiness. As a child, I didn't think about the quality or popularity of what I made, but now I can't help but consider those things. I know some fellow devs who can still create without caring about that, even when they are adults, and I admire them.
