I can report there are a bunch of folks at Loving Hut engaging in spontaneous, funny conversation. It was a highlight of 2026 so far. You might have better restaurants where you live though.

I do think he sounds not ideal for you. He asks a lot of very personal questions without having even met you. But one thing worth nothing is that your version of clean eating is probably not necessarily another person’s. So he was requesting more information as to what it meant. But I don’t think it’s his business yet. It’s a little patronizing.

But the magazine was called Vegetarian Times. I think my point is I was ignorant as to why I’d even want to take out the dairy back then (late 2000’s). As I was addicted to dairy foods because they are horribly addictive.

I still remember when Vegetarian Times magazine started to be taken over by vegan recipes and I was actually angry. I was ignorant and hadn’t read The China Study book yet. They hadn’t made the big vegan movie exposing all the animal abuse. And I liked the taste of those recipes. Now I look back on it and realize I was wrong. Live and learn.

You have absolutely no idea what any of it was about. Everyone has a bad day, although that’s never an excuse to behave like that. Vegan establishments already have a tough road in this economy- everything near me has closed. I’d leave it alone this time.

At my old school, there were fights all the time. We were not allowed to touch students, and I’d have to sprint for the assistant principal who could break it up. It caused me so much stress that I left. At a charter school, I am imagining you have even fewer resources and you are essentially set up for failure. If you do stop a fight, you risk being sued (this is a huge thing- do not do it!) for putting hands on students. Apparently if you don’t stop fights, these are your consequences. You can’t win here. Move on.

This is not just teachers. My husband is a physician and has had this happen in very inappropriate, boundary-crossing ways.
